I may still have some old coins... of course it'll take me several months to verify whether I still have them....LOL

I collect:

art by unknown artists, especially woodblock and engraved prints

recordings of shows I've been to...

Rocks  and plants and pods

yarn and knitting patterns

some would say shoes

some would say outdoor gear

Who's next?

I collected stamps when I was a kid, and was pretty serious about it. I had mint sets of the Charles/Di royal wedding, from a dozen or so countries, a bunch of amazing Chinese stamps that were smuggled out, as well as stamps from countries that are no longer on the map. Then, one day, all 3 of my stamp books disappeared off the bookshelf in my bedroom. So much for that.

I guess I have a bit of a shoe collection.

I traveled a lot as a kid, always enjoyed collecting coins (money) and stamps from everywhere.  Some might even be valuable (gold Baht coin from Thailand, 1968).  I inherited my moms coins when she passed a few months ago, just picked up my box of belongings, haven't checked out the coins yet, so thanks for this post...  think that might be a task in the next day or 2!

Otherwise, my house is filled w/ rocks i've collected through the years...  (I get more gold cleaning counters than some get sluicing in the creeks, lol)

(then there's the album / tape / video collection)

As a kid I collected all kinds of things - stamps, coins, rocks, sea shells, even mushrooms - preserved in plastic or spore prints. Also had a huge batch of plastic dinosaurs and army men. You know, that Asperger's thing.

I don't have any of those collections anymore.

I do have several hundred surf magazines, but I didn't get them to collect them, just to read. Just never got rid of them.

My late landlord collected coins and stamp.  A lot of the latter bit the dust when Ida swamped us.  His fam has a job to do with a shit-ton of coins that were in those little cardboard & cellophane frames.

I'm more about de-collecting these days.  Big-ass box o' cassettes up for grabs, if you forward your address through Admin.

I'm pretty sure the motors on my remaining decks won't outlast one more spin per tape.
