Played a gig with Heath for a lurker (waving hello) whose biz is in Lincoln, CA.
Here's a pic of the perfomance space from a show we did in Feb. In addition to a healthy mix of Xmas and Dead tunes, with a back drop like this one, we just had to do a couple of Cash and Elvis tunes!

We spoke about possibly doing a public show one Saturday a month. It's a nice place to play and would be closer for Zoners, like Bart and Benice.

Friday shows started at Old I in Jan. of 2013 - about 85, before being moved to Starlite in October of 2014. About 126 shows there, so far.
Hippie Hour started at the Torch in May of 2011 and became a monthly show in October that year. Every 2nd Tuesday started in January of 2012. About 60 or 70 shows there, so far.
The shows I do with Heath Williamson are technically not HH shows, but I've been doing that gig almost every Monday since July 2014.
I may have said this before, but I love my job.

I'm in the Folk/Bluegrass category, which I guess is where they think I should be. Most of the people who know what I do, know I don't do much Bluegrass and some Folk, but not as much as the old days. They also put a really excellent Funk and Rock group, Mr. December, in the list, which is odd. The band features Dana Moret, who is one of the best vocalists I ever heard. She's a mix of Ella, Etta and Janis. Huge powerful voice and great range. The band also features Night Ranger and Stoneground guitarist, Jimmy Papastathis. I think it would be a hoot if somehow they won and showed up to play the ceremony gig. Everyone expecting Folk/Bluegrass would be blown away by this rockin' dance band.

A lot of our "regulars", including our magic music Monday captain, Heath, were attending the Roger Waters gig down the street.
I decided to put some Floyd in there for the folks who came to see us instead.

The Filipino woman who made our dinner spells lumpia that way. I think it is a Tagalog translation/spelling for spring roll.
So, is broodje spelled broedje in Amsterdam? And what's with the mayo on french fries?

Sparse, but grateful, crowd at the Torch yesterday.
The Torch Club is across the street from the Memorial Auditorium, which hosts graduations this time of year and there was no parking anywhere near the venue.
People, including myself, had to park several blocks away and either did that or blew off the show.
Of course, we still had a a lot of fun, but I was disappointed in the turn out mainly because the owner happened to be there! Hope she still wants to keep my monthly gig.
