Neil & Crazy Horse add 3rd Fresno show 5/3

Forums:

Looks like it just went up.

AMAZING seats available right now using the same "nyarchives" code.

I really think these shows will get better & better as they go.

GTTS!!!

Cool. Not Princeton Landing cool but these shows will be fun.

no spot taken...

Thanks Lance. Front row still available. Hope to run into you on night 1.

Nice to see that Nils Lofgren is rejoining Crazy Horse for these shows.

Will they mix up the setlists from day to day in any substantial way?

Thanks for the head's up, Lancer!

After missing out on the good (cheaper) seats for the first 2 nights' shows, I snagged 2 row B's in the balcony for night 3.

GOING TO THE SHOW!

So this is Pedro and Lofren or just Lofren?

According to Rolling Stone, Sampedro is sitting this run of shows out. Reason unknown.

Wondering why a third fresno show when the first 2 have not sold out?

Mark, I don't think this is a normal type "tour" where it's all about the money. I think Neil wants to play some shows. Hopefully this is a gearing up for a larger tour, or maybe it's just going to be a short bunch of hit & run shows in little theaters in out of the way places.

I just hope they do a few more closer to the BA.

I hope they do some closer to LA

This is as much the Santa Monica Flyers without Ben Keith as it is Crazy Horse. Seems to me to be a celebration of the release of the Roxy ‘73 shows more so than anything related to a larger CH tour. Nils goes on a solo tour in Europe starting on May 14, Neil has gigs with POTR in June and then likely with POTR on that Outlaw tour in the early fall. Plus, I’m hearing rumors of a CSNY tour. I think this may be it for the Horse as Neil tries to dabble in all his hands....divorcing Pegi was expensive!z

His statement on the archive indicated that they are hoping to have  Poncho return once he is able to, so it seems like Neil is envisioning more CH shows.  It's not like he has a lot of dates booked right now.  I think these shows in Fresno and Bakersfield are a practice run for the Horse.  Neil's gonna take it for a ride, see how everything feels, then see if they want to run in the Derby.

I hope you are right Dave.   I'm a bit pissed to be missing these shows.  Neil was high on my list to see this year but I didn't want to go to any festies or multi band shows.   Now that I'm traveling next week for work, I can only hope there is a full tour coming....or at least some more shows with a little heads up time.

Never seen crazy horse....that would make me happy.

Two bakersfields shows now.....

With Bruce Springsteen extending his solo acoustic Broadway run, Nils has plenty of time on his hands.  Nils plays piano as well as guitar, maybe we'll see a version of Crazy Horse with both him and Poncho in the band.

I hope these aren't their last shows, Woz.  Maybe they should call it the "Don't Shoot The Horse Tour".

There is definitely open time from June to September as he only has three dates with POTR, June 23, July 5 and September 23. I'm counting on the old guys rocking hard!

I don't think Neil has played Georgia/Atlanta since the the Greendale tour.

i hope that changes soon.

>I don't think Neil has played Georgia/Atlanta since the the Greendale tour.

He did on the CSNY tour 2006-08-10, where people booed Neil & the band during "Let's Impeach the President". It's in the Deja Vu movie doc.

Gee, I wonder why he hasn't gone back?

>>>>>Plus, I’m hearing rumors of a CSNY tour

Hard to believe after what they've said about each other over the last couple of years.

I guess $$$ "trumps" all.

Could ask them to fly over to Utah? I'd love to see Neil with Crazy Horse.

>>> He did on the CSNY tour 2006-08-10,

i don't count that as a Neil Young show.

but i did remember he played the Fox on his solo tour sometime after that.

>>> where people booed Neil & the band during "Let's Impeach the President"

to be fair, that was pretty much a horrible 'song'.  i did appreciate the sentiment, though.
