From this article:

For now, the “Costal Tour,” as it’s called, sticks to the west coast. The outing begins with four nights a the 1,200-person capacity Ford Theatre in Los Angeles. He’ll then move on to larger venues, including the Santa Barbara Bowl, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and Berkeley, and the Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend, Oregon. According to a press release, more dates will be announced in the future.

The tour will pull from the more obscure reaches of Neil Young’s catalogue, highlighting songs he has yet to perform live over his six-decade career. The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer prefaced the setlist choice to patrons of the Neil Young Archives, saying, “I don’t want to come back and do the same songs again. I’ll feel like I was on some sort of carnival ride. I’d rather be doing these others songs I haven’t done… I won’t have to compare how I’m doing ‘Heart of Gold’ to [how I played it in] 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020…”

John Anson Ford Amphitheater is a very sweet little outdoor venue.  Saw some great shows there.

Man what is up with the weekend of July 15. I already going to cancel a Dead and Co show to fit in a rave campout and now this.

You should be able to stand at the top of the Greek and see the dead show across the bay. Sad to miss this one.

I know where I will be on July 18.

Any word on his band (or if it's solo)?

been interested in seeing a show at the SD shell. cool venue on the water.

Capacity is listed at 3300.  Vivid Seats already has close up tickets up for sale

$2,197 ea   Section 102 • Row AA   2 tickets

From Ticketnews.com:  Neil Young, who famously slammed Ticketmaster over its dynamic ticket pricing systems, is nonetheless using the Live Nation Entertainment-owned giant on his return to live performances, including the use of Ticketmaster “Platinum” ticket systems that are specifically employed to surge ticket prices. The singer announced

The “Neil Young Coastal Tour” will reportedly leverage Ticketmaster’s systems in an effort to eliminate consumer choice through a mobile-only ticketing plan that will require any tickets purchased by consumers to be subject to strict control by the entertainment giant. This is being framed as an effort to keep ticket prices down for consumers.

“In an effort to help minimize scalping and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, the artist is collaborating with the venues ticketed by Ticketmaster to make sure tickets can only be resold at their original price,” reads the fine print on the tour announcement from Live Nation Entertainment. “Fans that want to sell their tickets at these venues can use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange.”

Naturally, it is curious to see such a strong anti-Ticketmaster stance from an artist followed not three months later by a tour that will leverage the companies’ most restrictive technology to keep consumers from having any choice but to use Ticketmaster.

I don't remember this option at OPL....

Hahaha I'm planning on the Napa show which should be a wine and cheese extravaganza in itself....

Glad Neil is hitting the road again. As noted above, he's playing The Greek the same Saturday as DeadCo across the bay, which I've already committed

to taking my wife to.

Neil and Hannah have property taxes to pay. The fans will gladly pony up.

Just got tickets for Clark County Amphitheater.   They weren't that expensive - $90 (including fees) for seats in the shed.   Lawn tickets will certainly go for less, but the sound is much better the closer you get in that venue.   Plus, it is easy enough to move down to empty seats in that venue as nobody is checking tickets as you move to the lower level.   Every show I have seen there in the last year I have been able to get down to at least the 20th row.

Got tix for the LA Greek, and now I'm trying for Vina Robles too.

I scored tickets for the Napa show. Psyched!

Might anyone have a code for the LA Greek pre-sale? Thanks In Advance.

....hard to believe he's playing The Ford. That is a small, semi-stuffy venue but very intimate setting. I'd still rather see the LA Greek show.

See you in Napa Paul!

I predict there will be a lot of talking at these shows, as he says he's doing 80% songs he's not done live...

Which says to me that people who don't know the songs will get bored and start chatting...

I hope not but it seems like a safe bet.

LA Greek = HARVEST or GREEK2023

I hope not but it seems like a safe bet.

I hope it doesn't play out that way. I'm looking forward to hearing back catalogue stuff....

THE Show To Be At IS NIGHT 3 at John Anson Ford !!!

I'm going to be positive Woz. I really hope people are respectful.

And Plf, just don't get the presidential box at the Ford Theatre, ok?

I'm in at Vina in Paso!!!

it was a painless process to purchase a ticket, $185 including fees, Section 203 Row K

presale code HARVEST23

In for White River Amphiteater.  Will be my first show there.

2 pavilions in the lower end of Section 202 for about $180 after fees.  After reading up on the parking and fast pass add ons, I decided to skip them in favor of getting there early and scoping out a strategic exit spot.

Anyone ever heard of the opener?

I just got a notice that a second show was added at the LA Greek on Monday, July 10th.

California gets all the shows.

Also Harvey's at Lake Tahoe on the 24th.

Harvey's is a fun scene, but a bad venue for a solo Neil show.

I actually think most of these venues are pretty poor for a solo Neil show.

No spot taken for any of these.

I sure wish this was an electric Horse tour.

I'll just add that to my looooooong wish list.

I hope all who go enjoy the brilliance of that great performer.

LONG LIVE NEIL YOUNG!!!!!

Tons of tickets available for Auburn and Ridgefield WA. No lawns available at either, but makes me wonder if they're trying to sell the pavilion seats first. Are they even really going to sell that many tix in a month without some serious discounting? Just move the damn shows to smaller indoor venues - or did Neil wait too long and now all the appropriate venues are booked.

I agree that these venues aren't right for this type of show, but it's not my call.

Pretty positive he doesn't want to do Any indoor shows.

And I don't think they will sell lawns for any of these, I think it'll be roped off.

Looks like pretty much the same setlist the first two nights, with a little variation.

Had a great time with Neil at the LA Greek last night. Despite this being a 6000 seat venue, the show had a strong feeling of intimacy. Neil bantered with the crowd a lot, and the big video screens on either side of the stage were dark all night, which kept the focus on what was happening on stage. My personal favorites of the night were I'm the Ocean and Comes a Time, but the atmosphere created by Mr. Soul, on which Neil played organ an harmonica, was a real revelation for me.

I saw the Paso Robles show last Saturday. It was a great show. He was in a great mood and was in fine form. For me, I feel 100% satisfaction. A loving attentive crowd in a small 3500 capacity beautiful venue.

Saw Neil last night.  I had avoided looking at the setlists on this tour, but it was pretty much as posted above.  I am a big Neil Young fan and didn't recognize a third of the songs, but every song was great and sounded just like, well, Neil Young.   Audience was very attentive and hung on every note.   Felt like we were all hanging out in his living room with him showing us some new songs he had just written.
