Neil Young on the Insurrection

Forums:

Apparently, Neil feels empathy for the people who have been manipulated by Trump and social media, which he says "is crippling our belief system, turning us against one another."

There's nothing wrong with compassion as long as it doesn't impede prosecution.

A letter to Neil.

How much do you charge for tickets now and with CSNY?

How much is you beach house in Hawaii worth, unless you sold it already. What were you asking? $25,000,000?

Neil should be persecuted for hypocrisy by wearing those rags he wears but lives a lifestyle of  privilege.

There's a palace in the gravy
That's holding on and on and on
Even after
all the blue-haired ladies
And the wheelchairs are gone.

I guess the reason
I'm so scared of it
Is I stayed there once
and I almost fit
I left before I got out of it
People were drownin'
in their own...

Fontainebleau
Fontainebleau,
was that me?
Fontainebleau,
well I guess I'll see
Fontainebleau.

- Neil Young 1976

Ahh, Stills Young Band.

Great album.

doolittle, he said in his book, " give a hippie some money..."

This Note's For You....

I love Neil's cars

and Neil, a shit ton

"Hope Neil Young will remember...."

How much for the book?

And I love Neil. Don't get me wrong. He just charges exorbitant prices for his shows. He must think everyone is rich like him. Same with D$C!

yeah he should live in an old van down by the river. i mean, did he earn any of that $ ?

..

D&C is a cover band

Neil is Neil

the money is stupid, I agree - prob used to be $ 5-10 when I would see him in LA Honda

priceless

I checked the book out of the local library.

Just checked my 1996 stub, the last time I saw him. $22. Not so long ago

Saw him free in Santa Cruz

paid $100+ to see him in Telluride, kinda short set too

Never forgive him for the drunk Beacon shows in '91. I couldn't afford it then and i'm still pissed. Neils always been a partial tool. He definitely has lots of good in him but the tool seems to shine through.

I was underwhelmed when I saw Neil a few years ago. He played too many new songs, all with the same content. I can't remember the cost, but it wasn't exorbitant.

My last D&C tix was no more than $55, including fees. I had a great time and enjoyed the music.

@Terrapin.  Did he earn that $500 ticket for a few hours of music? I'd say never! But i'm not Steve Bezos. His free concert in Central Park 8 1/2 years ago was worth it.

I mean Jeff Bezos.

Neil can ROCK

and he can emote  tender  and ABSOLUTELY RIPPING  TOP 5 artist of all time  (with longevity) and a big catalog

Neil has empathy for you doolittle.

I enjoy Neil's live music, don't care how much he charges. After reading the article I only have to say, he just became a US citizen, maybe he should mind his own business. He doesn't have enuf seniority to have empathy for the lunatics who thought breaking into the Capitol building was a good idea.

Americans can't talk about other countries.

He became a legal US citizen, but he can't talk about the country where he resides?

Sounds American to me...

Neil can do anything he wants, for he is the master songwriter crafting exceptionally meaningful songs that he himself knows not the meaning of.
That's the stuff of scripture....

  Neil

is

  Neil

I would guess he's written more songs than Bob Dylan by the way

Here's one I shot in 2015 with the Promise of the Real.  A little shaky in the beginning but a real fun video!

Neil Young - Cowgirl in the Sand - Bethel Woods - Bethel, NY - July 17, 2015 - YouTube

Neil's got my vote.

My comment was mostly meant to be tongue in cheek. What took him so long to join us?

Nice, Gregg. A little shakey for Neil seems about right, and the audio is really crisp.
