New bike

It’s a Honda CRF1000L, they call it an “Adventure Bike” because it’s good for both on or off road.  I plan to do a lot of camping trips with it once I have figured out how to ride that thing, lol (if it doesn’t kill me first).

That thing looks great. Enjoy. My days of long rides are gone, but little rides on my Triumph very enjoyable.

(((toto)))

My neighbor has one of the BMW on/off bikes. The thing is huge.

Awesome!  I have a TON of respect for people who take long rides on their cycles; especially through huge storms, hot heat, etc.

It's certainly something I wouldn't attempt.

Enjoy!

And be careful out there (my ex-paramedic father-in-law has shared some scary stories with us over the years).

Best Napoleon: "Sweet ride".

Seriously. Have fun and years of safe riding.

We have had a few snow storms and cold crappy weather for a couple of months, but today it got to 58 and most of the snow has melted...so I took her out for a nice ride :-)  It felt nice.  Can’t wait for Spring!

You need a go pro. Take it out for a few rides and then Bluelight can add a hot shoe and Boom! Mini China-Riding movie.

Those things get great reviews.

Congrats.

Be careful out there...

one of my favorite websites, it's an auction site for mostly classic cars, but they have an occasional motorcycle, this one sold recently, the comment sections are a wealth of knowledge

I am buying an electric one.

Be careful.

Have fun.

Yeah, it really is an awesome go anywhere bike.  It made history winning several Paris-Dakar races in the late 80s but Honda discontinued it after the 2003 model.  In 2016 a new version came out with a larger 1,000 cc parallel-twin engine with a 270° crank.  I held out for the 2018 model, they worked out a few bugs and updated the electronics.  Black is also a new color for this year.  It’s totally different from the beemer I had before which was a lot faster (actually too fast for me) and strictly pavement.  This one has close to 10 inch suspension travel and a dirt bike geometry, it opens up a whole new world of off road riding.

here is a sample of the new AT in action.

I’m a Harley guy myself;  but your bike looks really fun!  I love the off road potential.  Enjoy and best of luck!

I'm not a rider, but if I was, I would ride that bike.

Have a blast. I rode for years. Nice crisp ride must have very invigorating.

Great idea slacker, I actually was thinking the same for both of you for a while

I have less of a problem with a cool HD short GoPro add then a stagnant water mark on a Bluelight mini.

Have fun China rider, but please be careful

Purchased the day of my father’s celebration of life on eBay, 20 minutes before it began

It was a rather emotional day
