White clam pizza at Pepe's

https://pepespizzeria.com/

^this right here. id get the normal tomato pie over white clam, but get both if possible. sallys probably makes a better pie than pepes but pepes is the OG so its kinda unmissable. again, both if possible. these pies are THE best in the country period. better than new york and ive eaten a pretty fair % of nyc's best pizza.

dont be dissuaded from louis lunch based on the photos of these weird looking cheeseburgers made on sliced white bread with nacho cheese spread. looks weird, tastes amazing. one of the most memorable burgers ive ever eaten and pure american history. even just walking up to the place is impressive - normal modern city streets and then all of a sudden the modern buildings just stop and theres this little tiny old looking building that looks plucked out of the early 1900s just jammed into a modern city block, like the city just developed around it but this one little building has remained untouched for 100 years. IIRC they did actually have to move in the 70s, but they literally lifted the original building off its foundation and moved it 2 blocks down the street rather than actually move into a new building. forget about your usual burger preferences and just decide tomato/no tomato, onion/no onion, cheese/no cheese, and otherwise just take it how its served.

DO NOT leave new haven without eating a new haven pie at sallys or pepes and a burger from louis lunch.

Get both pies!

Dont forget to tell louis that you'll gladly pay him Tuesday for a hamburger today.

Another vote for Frank Pepe's !
Went there prior to CAP runs if I flew into Boston and drove south.

I lived there from 1954 to 1956, age 3 to 5.

At that time I liked East and West Rock parks. smiley

Claire's Corner Copia is a must

Veggie friendly breakfast lunch and dinner. Save room for dessert. You can't eat pizza for every meal but definitely get a Pepe's white clam too

spent endless hours loving my home city

where i learned about the disparity of poverty v wealth

hope its a perfect time, T

Thanks to everyone’s accommodations.

Pepe's take out was good

Zuppardi's eat in was the second best apizza anywhere

Louis Lunch, burger was fair but the building and atmosphere was 10 plus

Yale campus and the rare book museum was fantastic as well as the old cemetery.

Connecticut weed sucks, no ifs and or buts on that, it just SUCKS

The baby was a pleasure, as most of the relatives, except one is a drunk and the other is still Trumpin.......same as always.

My 89 year old MIL was in heaven, so that for me makes it all worth while.

Yes we went to both east and west parks, east was mostly closed and west was all open with views of the city and long island. Took a cool trail to smoke some lame pot, but the view was great.

Wish I recommended for you to go to mamoun's
