New Springsteen

Forums:

I know he's not that popular here, but for those who like him, first single drops at midnight, new record Western Skies drops 6/14, not an E Street Band record, Bruce with other people.I'm looking forward to it

My error, Western Stars, sorry about that

Should be an interesting record. I have heard it described as orchestral pop in the vein of Jimmy Webb, Burt Bacharach and others of that songwriting ilk. I, for one, hope Mr. Springsteen finally aswers the question that I have pondered for a very long time; who exactly left the cake out in the rain?

p.s. While there are a few people in here that have a fundamental dislike of Bruce Springsteen, I think the majority are fans even if they don't say it outloud and blow their hippy cred.

does he cover “Wichita linesman”? That’s a really good song written by Jimmy Webb

Big time Springsteen fan here -  LOUD and PROUD, Tony! One of the greatest entertainers of my generation. Really gives it all to the fans.

Saw him on his first tour of the west in 74(?) and sat in the front row! of the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix.

Drove from SLC to Denver in '85 for the Born In The USA tour and saw him on his birthday. Traveled to Phoenix to see him a few years ago.

They call him "The Boss" for a reason. Looking forward to see him break into something different.

In the meantime, Little Steven's new one drops next Friday, saw him twice last year great shows

Friend just texted the single from Sirius show, def sounds like a Jimmy Webb song

Due to a number of scheduling conflicts I missed the last Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul tour. I will be at the east coast record release show in Asbury Park on May 8th though. From all I've heard, Steven and the band are a magnitude better than they were when the started touring again...and everyone said they were fantastic then. I'm really looking forward to this show. I know it's not the DoS of years gone (some of the best live shows I've ever seen) but people that I trust say it might be as good or better.

Looking forward to see him break into something different.

As he gets older, I have no doubt we will all see some radical paths that Springsteen takes. It's not like if he goes out on a limb and fails that it will effect him much in the pocketbook. FU money has it's advantages.

Hello Sunshine (lyric video)

Sounds pretty much as it was described. Lazy Sunday warm blanket sort of song.
