Following the short-notice cancellation of the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival last month, the Mendocino County festival announced on Tuesday that ticket holders would not receive refunds due to a lack of funds. ...
The music festival, known for its family-friendly environment and performances from reggae artists has been running since 1994. Last year marked its return from a five-year hiatus after the founder, Warren Smith, got sick in 2019 (Smith died in 2021) and the event was put on hold due to the pandemic.
“Rarely if ever was it a sellout, but usually on a good year, we’d get about 4,000 [attendees],” Heilig said. “For whatever reason, and nobody seems to know exactly, that surge didn't come, and in fact [ticket sales] collapsed. So all this money had been put out there and already spent, and there was no more.”

Also, my recent email from Dead on the Creek indicated they are on shaky ground.
Dead on the Creek ’24 will be held at the Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, California.

No refunds? That's BS.
No refunds? That's BS. And if they were still taking people's money even after it became apparent they couldn't deliver, then it's fraud.
