NY Metro Area Dispensary Delivery - Real or Scam?

Forums:

A friend of mine sent me the following link:  www.thegoodsupplyco.com

Supposedly a Westchester county NY "dispensary" with 2-3 hour home delivery.  $150.00 minimum order and $25 shipping fee,  I call BS as I do not know of any operational NY recreational dispensaries at this time.  If it is a scam, I do give the operators props as the site is well done.

So I put it to the Zone - Real or Scam?

Scam. That being said, however, I am sure they follow through as advertised even if currently not legal. I read last week about NY sending out cease & desist letters to illegal pop-up REC dispensaries too that are jumping the gun to get legalization rolling. There are many black market Canna delivery services (and "stores") operating across LA too.

Don't know if it's real or a scam, but this is the only dispensary website I've seen that has pounds on the menu.

Easy enough to pass by if you live in the city~

Tremaine Wright, the chair of the CCB, said they’ve been on “an aggressive schedule of 18 months” to get the industry up and running; on that timeline, the first dispensaries would presumably be allowed to open their doors sometime around spring 2023.

But Alexander said he and his colleagues are intentionally not giving dates for when products will hit shelves. Though their 18-month estimate is based on what they’ve seen in other states, the group is “trying to accelerate, trying to see how we can get folks up and running sooner.”

you can buy weed and gummies in nearly any bodega in NYC right now, heck, i saw a dude on the corner of Canal and Church with a briefcase open that had ounces and pounds in it sitting out in the open

NYC has a very rich history of cannabis delivery services operating more or less in the open, via word of mouth. it might not be legal but if your friend says they delivered there is no reason to think its a straight up scam and you wont get your weed or it wont be good(good relative to other options in NYC at that price point).

however, id bet that their branded products coming from popular CA companies are not real - they seldom are. gary payton by cookies, lemon OZ by wonderbrett, and krypto by alien labs are very very likely to be some other weed(or the same strain simply grown by private black market growers) put into branded bags which are purchased in bulk. all the bags/jars/labels i see on the site and listed here, are very very easy to find and buy in bulk either online or in head shops. the concentrates im seeing from CA companies like guild or jetty are more likely to be real due to how easy it is to transport, and how much more common it seems for branded concentrates to make their way over state lines, but it still could just as easily be fake. however, fake does not nessicarily mean it is bad weed, its often just a way to get an extra 10 or 20 bucks ber 1/8th from the hypebeasts. this company might not even be the people putting cannabis into knockoff bags - it could just as easily be a supplier/middleman telling this company they have a special cali connect when they dont.

legitmate cali products from producers like cookies can be available in places like NYC, but i very much doubt a site like this has access to legitamate branded products smuggled out of cali
