Listening to some great harmonies and fiery group throwdowns in this CR&S from 70-71 on The Avant Ghetto radio program: http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/75365
Great program. He sliced right into that crazy Pirates World set. All of that stuff sounded good.
Fidelity wise I just aux-in to a nice pair of speakers in the home stereo setup. Would love to revisit that Dead tape with a nice pair of headphones. The playing was off the charts.
Ateix, Art Blakey live in m town her in VT. Legend has i,t he and miles Davis and many other greats would come up here to warren/waitsfield and jam and has a house here still. I was hanging with his son on sunday actually lol.
Yesterday, I went to the library to pick up a CD of Rolling Stones - Beggar's Banquet (1968) for the kiddo, so that he could listen to it in the car. He's been fascinated by some of the music that was played during the Vietnam War.
I picked up a bunch of CD's for myself as well, including a few first listens:
The Tragically Hip - Man Machine Poem (2016) ...Thinking of Gord Downie
The Claypool Lennon Delirium - Monolith of Phobos (2016) ....Absolutely LOVE this album. Reminds my of British psychedelic undergrownd stuff from the likes of Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd, Tomorrow, Twink, etc. Spacey, rhythmic, and cool Maaannn....
TV on the Radio - seeds (2014) ...Enjoyable music from a band I haven't listened to before. At least one song reminded me a little of Beta Band (maybe it was just the vocal delivery).
Now listening to Dawes - We're All Gonna Die (2016)
JD's post a bit above this one compelled me to play the classic Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes from TV on the Radio. what an album. back in 2004 it was an incredibly unique sound. IMO, all their other albums pale in comparison to Desperate Youth.

Comments/Notes/Flaws:
- There are at least three sources in circulation for this show,
none of them quite complete. Eldon Porray's excellent audience
tape (usually said to be Nak 700s, but it's too early for those
mics) is all of set I and Midnight Moonlight from set II. The
sbd has cuts in Knockin' and Lonesome and is missing Love in the
Afternoon and all but the last 20 second of Tore Up. Menke's
master is the most complete, with everything up to 17:30 of
Lonesome, a few starts of songs clipped. I decided to put together
this composite using the soundboard as the basic recording. I
had hoped that the three sources could be combined to provide
the whole show, but unfortunately the sbd and Menke's master do
not overlap so as to cover the whole missing portion of Lonesome.
Menke's tape (I am not sure about the equipment he was using)
supplies 9:38-9:49 of Knockin', all of Tore Up and Love in the Afternoon, and 13:28-17:40 of Lonesome.
- d2t06 LAALWFH splice @ 17:40, unknown amount missing.
Thanks to David Minches for the source CDs!
A MisSHN in the Rain Installment of the Music Never Stopped Project,
June 2003.

I represent solid state physicists from Analog Device that hold the major IP's on digital to Analog converters, that would disagree with you, Gunner.
That will not make any sense to you, will it?
Carry on. Or talk to me about DACs.

I think my error is that I am using Analog Device as a proper noun.
That's the name of a semiconductor manufacturer called Analog Device, that was purchased by Texas Instruments (I think)
What you folks have is a unit wih a DAC, that they call a DAC. I guess, because that's what it does & not what's in it.
I think what we have here is a double entendre (I Googled that spelling). I had no idea it was spelled that way.
PS-Cracks me up, that people call you Gunner. Just kidding around my friend
