80's in the northwest on a multi night run Bobby and Jerry was feuding over something and they were to encore a OMSN and Jerry told Bob "fuck your song" and left. Bobby was very upset.
Sunday morning Jerry apologized and they opened with it later that day.

I dunno. Maybe aside from being too drunk, they also may have misconstrued the May 3 & 4 '86 Cal Expo shows, where there were some technical issues for Jerry & Bob and Phil's mind was blown so no encore on the 3rd but they opened the 4th with "last night's encore", OMSN?
Those other details (fuck your song/Bobby being very upset) seem like a lot of rumored conjecture unless they were there.

That '82 Davis show was damn
That '82 Davis show was damn good, despite being one of the most unorganized shows I've ever been to.
And when you work & live as closely as those guys did over so many years, there are going to be some head-butts.
