RIP OZZY

The prince of darkness is gone ☹️

FUCK

10th grade, Saint Lucie Civic Center, on the rail 5 feet from Randy Rhodes, wide eyed and fried. Ozzy shook our hands.

Fuckin A he was a rock god.

wow

RIP Ozzy

My second show ever, 3/9/84 Met Center -

So glad I spent 10 hours with you from my house on July 5th 2025 and you got to play your last show ever.

You were one of the greatest to ever do it!

I love you OZZY!!!

First saw him in 84, then in 86 with Metallica and a few others over the years last in 2018... did amazing meet n greet in 99 with Sabbath. What a legend and part of my life. Now the KING of Darkness

Ozzy was larger than life and had a huge impact on me growing up

Rest in Peace, Oz.

What a life!   Going from being a hoodlum on the streets of Birmingham to being one of the most celebrated and recognizable public figures in the world with lots of total craziness in between.   And nobody (I mean nobody) has ever replicated that creepy voice.   Broke the mold with this one.

"Put your hands in the air!"

"I can't see them!"

"Let's go crazy!"

"We love you!"

Uncanny timing coming about two weeks after his last performance.

RIP Ozzy.

"We Love You"

Loved him in Black Sabbath. Lmao when the Osbournes first aired on MTV. There was only one Ozzy.

(((((((  Sharon and Family ))))))

Love the Oz.

What a life. Got his money's worth.

its interesting that we lost pop culture's two primary "fake drug casualties" so close together - ozzy and brian wilson. both older rockers who were well known in the media for drug use, and who had serious health problems which produced fairly similar symptoms like odd behavior, stutters and other difficulties communicating, tremors etc etc, and these health problems were mistaken by the media and the general public as the damage they suffered from heavy drug use. in brian's case it was the side effects of extreme overmedication under the care of eugene landy and in ozzys case it was parkins syndrome.

After reading his book 'I Am Ozzy', it's amazing he made it out of his 20s.

Only saw him once with BS in 2015, but he exceeded all expectations.

RIP

Oh fish

I truly honestly hope that is what he did.

He just put on that epic show and if he was ready to go, I think that's the most quality way to do it on your own terms like the fucking rock star he is

So grateful to have seen him with the original Sabbath more than once

His legend lives forever

Phish is playing Forest Hills tonight and it's been 665 shows since they last played Iron Man.  They know what to do.

No tribute from Phish tonight. Perhaps Sharon gave them a cease and desist.

Wonder if Jerry had his "Sharon" maybe she could have squeezed a few more years out of him.

OZZY ZIG

NEEDS HEAVEN GIG

(HAS OWN P.A.)I'm

Our local Phish cover band Shafty did Tweezer>the Wizard last night.

I've got some weird mixed feelings about him. He is a ultra successful musician.  He also was a dark figure who made some very bad choices.   In HS the angry mean kids listened to Black Sabbath. The hippies liked Allman Brothers, Yes etc

Well to my knowledge he did not make it to Epstein Island so he is at least not as dark as 2 of our presidents

and neither of those two's names are Bush so the count is at 4 presidents and possibly counting

HS loved their compartments..some of us listened to all of it.... ozzy did more in one night to raise money for Parkinson's research than any of the zealot clowns who tried taking him down in the 80s have done in their entire lives

Speaking of Yes....

My first Ozzy show was @ the Stabler arena @ Lehigh Univ....The 1st show after Randy Rhoads' death.... RIP

Wow^^^
One other thing about metal music and its fanbase.... looks are deceiving. far from "mean kids".. the fans I talk to at metal shows these days are all super fans, they are VERY into music, they have pretty widespread and diverse interests and love talking music. They are tech savvy, many musicians themselves and NO ONE talks during a bands performance, everyone is 100% INTO the show. Some of the least judgy people I ever run into. That contrasts greatly with a lot of other genres I see shows by, including the jam scene.

i have never felt more unsafe at a concert than a handful of experiences ive had when finding myself on the "dark side" of the lot after a dead or phish show has let out.

Bob Daisley took the high road as usual on Ozzy's death despite Sharon fucking him out of millions of dollars.

Love Ozzy but those great solo records don't happen without Daisley. Pay that man the money he deserves.

Daisley.jpg

Bob Daisley has paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, saying that "nothing can change the true friendship" that he and the legendary heavy metal singer "once had".

Earlier today, the 75-year-old veteran rock/metal bassist and songwriter, who performed on — and wrote/co-wrote the lyrics/music for — a good portion of Ozzy's early solo catalog, took to his social media to write: "This is a sad day and it has brought me to tears. When I reminisce about Ozzy's and my times together, I think about the fun, the laughs and of course what we created together musically, which will live much longer than these mortal bodies that we inhabit.

"My condolences to everyone who you've left behind, Ozzy. Nothing can change the true friendship that we once had; I'll see you 'on the other side'."

This past February, Daisley commented on the fact that he hadn't been invited to take part in Ozzy's final concert, which took place in Birmingham, United Kingdom on July 5. He told Indie Power TV at the time: "To be honest with you, I don't think I'd wanna be a part of that that day. It'll be awkward, but it could turn out as an embarrassment as well, but we'll see. We'll see."

Bob also talked about the fact that he didn't get a mention during Osbourne's induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction last October. He said: "I didn't expect [to get a mention]. I knew that was coming, because there's been some dirty water gone under the bridge between us — there's been lawsuits and legal issues and that — so I was not surprised when I didn't get a mention. Many people thought that it was wrong and that I should have got a mention. But I really didn't expect it, so I wasn't surprised."

Speaking about the chemistry between the original members of Ozzy's band, including guitarist Randy Rhoads and drummer Lee Kerslake, Bob said: "It was a chemistry and a formula that worked, and it worked very well. I don't think any one of us could have been replaced with anyone else and have it work like it did. Ozzy's voice tone and melodies were integral to the sound and deliverance of everything that we did. And Randy and me working together musically first, and then me writing the lyrics to Ozzy's vocal melodies, it all just jelled. And Lee was definitely the last piece of the puzzle that helped the chemistry and the big picture."

First time I saw Sabbath, 1979, MSG.  Nugent opened up, did a 20 minute stanglehold. Zappa came on stage and introduced Sabbath.  What a fucking night it was. RIP OZZY
