Particle and Kung Fu, Oakland, 12/08/16

I'm fairly certain that Daylight will be there, I'm just not sure he's here.

No spot taken for me. I'm not against Particle per se; I've seen them and walked out and I've seen them and enjoyed the show, I'm just not crazy about the venue, especially on a Thursday night.

I don't even mind the venue itself that much, but the location is not good IMO, which I also feel to a lesser degree about the Fox which is a block away. 

As much as I like to preach about not living in fear, ever since my friend was shot in his car after a show at the Fox I've been nervous about that neighborhood, and the New Parish is on a dark backstreet and doesn't generate even close to as much foot traffic before, during & after a show.

I get that things like that are random and that type of deal could happen anywhere, but it DID happen there and it does happen more often around there than other places.

Enjoy the show whoever goes, and don't linger!
