Patti Smith Santa Cruz

Forums:

Not sure of other Zoners caught this recent Patti Smith tour, but the Santa Cruz show was amazing. A great sounding recording is on Dime if you're interested, or I can put it up somewhere if yoiu want to grab from me.

Huge Patti fan, one day I'll finally learn how to download. lol. Just before the holidays she played a series of show at the Minetta Lane Theater in NYC, not the full band, just her kids and maybe Tony it was a huge success, kind of like Springsteen On Broadway with readings and chats and songs. Hope she does it again as I was out of the country and had to miss it. Its available on Audible Books

is 08) Beds Are Burning, the Midnight Oil song? If so cool, great underrated band

This was my first Patti Smith show. I'm a lifetime fan and can't believe I never witnessed her power.

Beds Are Burning was a fantastic cover.

Nice, my first Patti Smith show was in Santa Monica.

^^ I refuse to play that game, I'm old and it was a LONG time ago :)

I'm so bummed I missed all four of her BA shows.

>>>chat<<<

Normally I hate it when musicians talk alot during their shows; I can talk good, I know lots of people who can talk good, I'm there to hear their brilliance as musicians... but there are exceptions, and Patti is one. I love listening to her talk.

Come back again Patti!!!

Lots of good <<<chat>>> from Patti, especially her discussion of Santa Cruz. I have the recording queued to play on the road to and from TXR tonight.

What, Lance did'nt GO TO A SHOW?!

Have the New Orleans zoner contingent (all 2 of them) filed a lawsuit to strip you of your ZOTY yet?

The Rio? Surprised not the Civic.

I was at other shows.

BTW...

NO ONE can strip me of my coveted fake award!

BAZINGA!
