Although I have seen Eddie Vedder solo, I have somehow missed out on seeing Pearl Jam over the years. However, my tickets to see Pearl Jam in Krakow, Poland this summer just showed up and I am stoked! I hear a lot of good things about their live shows and any band that Neil Young picked to back him up must have something going for it.

I always had a good time at a PJ show.
First time I saw them is when they told Ticket Master to fuck off. I think 92 or so in baseball stadium in Ft. Lauderdale.
Very surprised on the amount of young (mainly girls) OD on stretchers and laying all around on the ground. Dozens.
Besides that I had a blast.

Have a Blast in Poland !!
Neil and PJ have a long-time thing going on.
"Mirror Ball" album was 199x collaboration, and they toured together back then.
Saw them at PDX Meadows 1994 or '95 with Blind Melon opening, then PJ, Neil Young main act.

About that time, "Sleeps With Angels" was released and then "Mirror Ball".
I sort of thought "Mirror Ball" was a weak effort, but Neil is / was filthy Rich and goes into whatever Musical projects provide amusement.
All I can say is each and every time I've seen Neil play live, it's the Greatest Show of the Year.

It's actually "Thrills Galore" every single time I've seen NY live.
A few rare Crazy Horse shows, one at 'The Gorge' w/ Patti Smith opening.
Talk about "LOUD" when the Horse neighs.
Too many to talk about, but they were all Fantastic.
Thanks Mr. Neil Young for the live Shows.

Off to see the Pearl Jam at
Off to see the Pearl Jam at the Tauron Arena here in Krakow, Poland.
Central Europe is pretty cool. More castles and history than you can shake a stick at and much of it is very dark and gory. Makes you glad we live in such a relatively peaceful time. Now days, things are different and the people are really nice and stuff is so affordable. I should start another thread about the trip in general.
Anyway, possession of cannabis is still a crime here and I am not going to risk finding some hashish before the show. Guess I will do what the locals do (a lot - and at all hours) and just drink some before our Uber shows up. To that end, will be making a cocktail with a Mike Tyson energy drink and some vodka:

So the tickets (see above)
So the tickets (see above) and the website both said 6:00 pm, which I thought was early, and we dutifully lined up at 5:30. Then we started chatting it up with some Brits on PJ tour and they explained that was just doors and the show wouldn't start until 8:00. So we went over to a local supermarket where people were walking around in the store drinking beer and picked up three big beers, a half pint of vodka, some hummus, a bag of bagle chips, and another Mike Tyson energy drink all for $6. We are now consuming said items down by a duck pond.

Have a great time in Poland! Vedder blew out his vox chords a week or so ago...hopefully back to his cool same-old-same old.
Tim - bet that show, way back when, was great.
Pink Pop 92 - they rocked it, classic to me. always a fantastic if ya want to clear your head of everyday bs. Porch is enough to get the cobwebs cleared - almost 30 mins in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PM_VIATPYQc (great comment on the youtube page "OMG. No cellphone detected. No selfie bullshit. 90s at its best."

It was a full house. During his opening remarks, Eddie kind of butchered the names of some Polish towns that they had played before, which resulted in some yelling and shit getting thrown, but it was all up hill from that. Crowd dug it,
