Hang in there Richie

Oh, Richie, I'm sorry.  I know you and he thought the world of each other. Damn.

Sorry for your loss Richie.

Sad to hear this, Richie.

Damn.

I'm sorry, Rich.

I'm crushed.  I can't imagine how you feel.

Playing with Perry was a joy.  But talking with him was a real, forever gift for me.

I was hoping to tell him I got around to Victor Wooten's The Music Lesson.

I was hoping for one more Harem Dance.

Love.

Sorry for your/our loss

so glad I got to see Perry play on a few occasions, with Who Knows?

he did the most high, and touched people's lives in the process

Condolences to you, Richie, and Perry's family and friends.

Sorry to hear that Richie.  Perry was surely one of a kind, in both his life and playing.  Happy to have done the high with him on several occasions.  .

My condolences. RIP

Sad news Rich ... sorry for the loss

My condolences on losing your friend, Richie.  Sounds like Perry's spirit was strong.  May it be with you always.

Sad news, indeed. Perry was one of a kind with a musical resume that few players can match. He knew when to sit back and add tiny musical flourishes but when he stepped up to solo, he stepped up huge and blew people away. As others have said, talking to him was at least wonderful as hearing him play. I remember a conversation we had about David Amram and the early Greenwich Village scene that was most enlightening. Great musician, great guy, shameless flirt (ask the ladies lol)  but what I feel was the most amazing thing about him was (tough changing the tense of that verb) was given his smallish body size, he ate like a NFL offensive lineman during training camp. I swear he could eat half his body weight in one sitting and not gain an ounce. Magic.

Sorry to hear, Richie.

RIP Perry

I was fortunate to have met him in the "Green Room" at ECZJ 3, and really enjoyed his contributions to the zoner jams heart

Later I found out about his Biography, check it out if you can...impressive indeed.
