talking with Tony Levin in the spring he said this was coming.....

Peter Gabriel will tour across the UK & Europe next spring. The tour marks his first shows outside of North America since 2014’s Back to Front Tourcelebrating the era-defining album So. Produced by Live Nation, the 22 shows in Europe will kick off in Krakow, Poland on 18 May 2023, with dates in Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and the UK before wrapping in Dublin, Ireland on 25 June 2023. The tour will then continue in North America in the late summer/fall with dates and ticket information to follow.

i/o The Tour will see Peter playing new material from his forthcoming album i/o, as well as delving into his wider catalogue of music, with hits, fan favourites and the unexpected. For the shows, Peter will be joined by regular band-mates Tony Levin, David Rhodes and Manu Katché.

Full details on the i/o album will follow.

“It’s been a while and I am now surrounded by a whole lot of new songs and am excited to be taking them out on the road for a spin. Look forward to seeing you out there.”

Hopefully he still has a voice and isn't propped up by a slew of backup singers like that other Genesis guy.

If Levin and the others are onboard, the music will be great.

And so are Manu Katche and Rhodes

Yeah I'll take Hackett tour for that, I'll be cool with just seeing Peter again, been since 93 WOMAD Golden Gate since I saw him last. Gonna have to start saving now tho

That and Talking Heads are the two top reunions we will never get.

make that three

(((dire straits)))

I remember seeing Gabriel at the LA Greek in ‘80. They started the show by walking up the aisles from the back rows holding bright lights.  Peter walked right by me so I gave him a slap on the back.  (they ended the show by walking back to the back, so I gave Tony Levin a slap on the back at the end).

Gabriel was on a shoestring budget in ‘80, so he got David Rhodes, the guitar player from the opening act, “random hold”, to play guitar for him as well. David has been Gabriel’s primary guitar player ever since. So we got to see Rhodes fist gig with Gabriel. I think it was the second show on the American tour. The previous date at the Greek the show got cut short due to being over sold.
