HCS sounds nice. Any way to re-listen to the whole show? From the video Mark Levy looks kind of like David Cross dressed as a hippy.

Hoping for a Mixlr showreel, or maybe one of those youtube audio-only thingies, by the time I get to work tonight.

Nice Help/Slip clip.

Phil still able to lay the mother down.

I went to the show last night and thought it was outstanding!

The show last night was RIPPIN'!!!

In my opinion, some/many of the bigger name musicians who play with Phil (and who many people get so excited about) can have difficulty to varying degrees fitting into the GD musical groove, but Karl Denson has NO TROUBLE AT ALL fitting in. To my ear that dude just smokes on everything he plays with Phil and has every time I've seen them play together. Last night was no exception, I thought Denson was great all through the show, with both his playing and his singing.

In a very rare circumstance I was able to get right up front directly in front of Phil for a while last night, almost on the Hallowed Rail, and damn it sounded great there.

And Phil Lesh most definitely is "still able to lay the mother down". His playing last night was brilliant as always, and I also love the way he sings The Other One these days. He delivered the 'Cowboy Neil At The Wheel' line with serious gusto last night.

Just a little rock 'n roll on a Thursday night.

Long Live Phil Lesh!!!!!!

Definitely one of the better P & F shows of recent (webcasted) memory. That DJ Williams guitarist was brilliant and Phil really lit up a few times during his solos. Denson was pretty on his game and wove some nice lines around the vocals, not to mention some hot soloing. Medeski was a little understated at times, but added some nice textures throughout. The band as a whole were really listening to each other, yet managed to rip it up without stepping on too many toes. Nice extended jamming on most tunes, though I felt Phil cut a couple short. They were all pretty in the zone, overall. One of those 'wish I was there' nights.

Is there a recording of this?  For shows like this I really miss the TXR thumb drives.

Yes!  We NEED  to be able to view and hear these shows!  C'mon TXR!  You are missing a VITAL part of the equation here!

And why is there no thread posted for the 2nd nite?  I cant even find a setlist for it.  I saw the first 2 songs of night 1 and too felt like this was some of the strongest shit Phil has put together in a LONG time!  Anyone got any leads on recordings or inside info?  The same thing happened with the last shows with scofield at TXR.  First night was webcast and the 2nd night was not and it was the Dark Star night! :(

^That 3/28 lineup only played one show.

" still able to lay the mother down"

the hallowed rail

long live.        It's all gravy and so absolutely true

VT Crow The music calender at TXR listed 3/29 with the same lineup.  maybe it was an error?  I just know what I saw of night 1 was amazing!
