Meet up 1308 Chicago (American Restaurant) near Salt Shed:

1)  Andy

2)

Have not seen any notice of streams for this show, or Cap shows.

I've been looking out for steam info too.   Getting late for Chicago.  Still hoping for the Cap bday run stream.  Might announce late since it's not sold out.  I think this is the first Cap bday run I'm missing and still hoping couch it.

Possible free stream of Phil this weekend, fingers crossed anyway...

Hi Andy, see you there on Sunday, but we'll need a different spot.  1308 Chicago closed on Sunday.

Hey China-Rider:  Snowed in at Tahoe with 30* heavy, wet snow.  Not going to Chicago.  Going to NYC next week for all Phil shows.  See you there.

Bummer Andy, hope you dig out in time for the Cap shows.

Any Zoners going to the salt shed?

Get Salty in The Windy City!

that blues bother's poster is sick.

Phil, why no stream???

Very cool poster !

hopefully stream link is around soon

That Blues Brother's poster is sick....

Elwood Blues: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses…. Hit it!

MamaDD appears to readying to get get ready....and I hate Illinois Nazis too!

Thank you for the link! 3/5ths of the Q sounding good!!

thanks for the link!  Sounding good for an audience stream

that was short lived.  sounded good while it lasted, fans in for a good one tonight i believe

She's back

She Said

LOL...Weir's Bros from Ryman @ Bird Song....."Bobby between the Phil"

Not sure who this is streaming now, but sounds like a soundboard and musically is quite good.  who is 'Bobby Between the Phil'? Playing full Terrapin Suite currently

this band sounds good, no idea who they are.  Frontman just stated this just their second gig in a year while talking a little about covid.  After Terrapin they are now playing an instrumental sounding more like a funky String Cheese or something. I'm hooked and will keep listening.  Maybe Phil will come back, but this ain't half bad.

I suspect the next live event on this channel will be Wolf Bros second set from Ryman but we'll see. Cheerz All!

Break filler was a stream of Oteil for a while there

so this is the Wolf Bros at the Ryman?  Doing Help Slip Frank currently.  Tempo sounds about right for them, but vocal didn't sound like Bobby.

Now I hear Bob singing lead on Franklins.  OK then, now i know what i'm listening to.  Sounds good, but tempo is an acquired taste, but not necessarily a bad thing.

Sounds like the stream just switched from a nice soundboard to a not so good audience. I'll check back later.

Salt Shed from Setlist FM

Fantasy   Playin'   J Straw   She Said   Birdsong   Liberty   Brokedown

D Star   China Cat   Wharf   Terrapin   Stella   Unbroken   E: Touch

Wolf Bros, Ryman Aud, Setlist FM

Imagine if the GD had played a show with those two sets.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess you would have "had" to sit through two Birdsongs, though.

Those two sets together would have been a mind bender for sure.

Dark Star 2nd verse after Wharf & Jack of Roses after Terrapin

thanks for the link, sound is quite good!

It just occurred to me that The Grateful Dead were wrapping up a 3-night run in Chicago 30 years ago last night (Rosemont, March 9-11, 1993). LLPL/LLGD!

...followed by an epic n'oreaster snowstorm cancellation at Richfield, OH on Saturday the 13th. They played on the bitter cold Sunday the 14th, breaking out "I fought the law (and the law won)", apparently in light of the fact that they wanted to play on Saturday and technically could have but the Ohio State Police could not guarantee "security". I guess the band/crew went to a movie...while a takeover of the local Holiday Inn transformed into Shakedown Street. I remember the snow flurries starting about halfway there from Chicago which rapidly deteriorated into a full-blown deep snow blizzard.

That blizzard show at the Richfield coliseum was memorable for sure. Snow banks soooo high in the parking park it was amazing.  Just finished listening to last nights show and boy does it deliver in spades, especially the second half.  The link to archive is an audience recording, but pretty good.  I see the link to bt.etree.  Is that for downloading or is that streamable also and might it be a soundboard?

Great listen - thanks Krab!

Not sure.  Just downloaded and now uploading so not leech.  BT and archives same, no?

Both sites have the same (Zman) recording, but they are different sites.  bt.etree.org is a torrent site. Live archives will let stream shows and download most everything except GD soundboards, which are stream only.

Agreed.  Phil is lucky to count her as one of his friends.

>>>The Salt Shed

Just saw that pic. The roof for Morton Salt was my easily visible landmark on the Kennedy ( i believe) when i used to go to the headquarters of the lab i worked for on N. Elston, '91. The exit ramp was right after the Morton Salt roof.

Right on Joe, the Morton Salt factory is where Salt Shed music venue is now, all renovated.  I was up at Kennedy rooftop for that picture. The first indoor show there was on Friday, Iggy Pop.  Phil was the next two shows.
