Didn't see a thread. They're headed to the actual Brooklyn Bowl, not the Vegas one this year. Tix on sale Friday.

65$?

damn.

They r doing the Vegas bowl in January...Sunday w da family band...

Warm up for the March Cap run ....LOL

^^^^

Stanley Jordon ain't in da family band playa...

stanley jordan and graham in march? hahahahaha

Stanley Jordan....been there, done that....does nothing for me in terms of gd music.

yea

stanley's noodling and giggling don't do much for me either. seems to be there for a quick buck

Bend Over! Come on Phil...really?

BB NY (only one I've been to) isn't about the music. The sound sucks and the bowling makes it worse.

I've never seen Phil there, though. Do they have the respect to shut down the lanes when he plays? I have recently read that sometimes, they do that.

Rumor or truth? And would sometimes include Phil?

Seriously don't think I can do it otherwise.

>Do they have the respect to shut down the lanes when he plays?

ive only been there 2x i believe and they shut the lanes both times so im sure if the big fella arrived there would be no bowling

wait

ween is cheaper than the family band?

wow. that shit is outta control, hahahahahaha. the family band is full

of a bunch of amateur musicians and phil, correct? phil n jill don't give a fuck.

U do know the difference between Vegas and Brooklyn champ...get ur facts straight if u r gonna bitch...phil and the family band r playing the Vegas bowl for 35 beans...the stupidity on the zone just to take shots is amazing...

Jelly, who are you calling out?

Homeboy w da screwed up facts taking shots at the family band ..phil and Jill...

What part is wrong?  Is Ween not cheaper than the family band at the same venue?

Also, if you could elaborate on the differences between Vegas and Brooklyn it might help make your point clearer.

It's not the same venue...phil and the family band in Vegas is 35 bucks ..ween is 45-60 ...Brooklyn phil is 65 but that place is half the size....so no phil and the family band ain't more expensive than Ween in Vegas...

Cool.  Thanks for clarifying.  I wasn't sure and you were pretty vague and seemed lashy-outty.

Can we agree that Ween is way better than the Family Band though?

Agreed..my bad if I seemed lashy outy...I probably could of been less of a dick about it...next time....

It's cool.  I wanted to share the outrage, just wasn't sure where to direct it, or who had the correct facts.

Report him Timmy!

mckenna

how many times have you seen the family band?

5 or six times....cple boat cruises...once at Sullivan hall ..last year Vegas..so 4 I guess

Whatever happened to Brian Lesh?

I was just able to pick up tix for both shows!

Fits 3,000 total--not sure how many tix they sell for a show (3,000 total capacity per the venue website--Wikipedia says 600).

So bigger than I realized, but I thought the Sunday show might go quick.

I had a really great time at the Songs of Barlow show...I think it's a great place to see a show. There was some bowling during the show, but I couldn't hear it. Maybe it just adds to the percussion?? :)

2017 bring Phil back out on the road with TFB!!

What a freakin let down:(

Just glad Phil is doing shows at all.

Hell yeah! I get a birthday show with Phil in Brooklyn on the 13th.  You go Phil!

Just glad Phil is doing shows at all.

Yep

The seating capacity, really standing room capacity, for Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn New York is about 600 total. Nothing like 3,000. I call that a fairly intimate venue for a Phil Lesh gig.

I think it's more than 600. There were several hundred people at Songs of Barlow, and there was a lot more space available.

The 3,000 number is listed on the BBowl website, but I think that's like fitting people in every nook & cranny--the multiple bars, restaurant, bowling area, etc. etc.

600 tickets each night is what they r selling for Phil...never seen a bigger show than that at the bowl...usually they r way smaller

Hi Duncansun...I would really appreciate a link to where it says on Brooklyn Bowl website that they have a 3000 capacity. Having been there many times that seems impossible. Every internet resource I checked has the seating capacity at 600. You are saying that you can fill Brooklyn Bowl with as many people as the Beacon Theater. Does that really make any sense to you?

Hi Eli...Turns out I was way off!! Thanx for pointing that out. Comparing it to the size of The Beacon makes it really obvious, that it's nowhere near 3K.

Turns out I was reading 'bout the capacity to Brooklyn Bowl -- Las Vegas.  Sorry 'bout that!

If you google Brooklyn Bowl NY capacity, first result is the Wikipedia entry. Second is the BBowl - Las Vegas listing. I went to the site and read the 3K number... I read that late at nite, a bit exhausted, and without paying enough attention.

Is little Levon on shakers?

Thanks for clarifying Duncansun. I appreciate it. I had no idea the Las Vegas venue was so large. Have a great time at Phil's Brooklyn gigs! The Zen tricksters are playing there on Jan.8 and that should be another really good show there.

Wait until Phil announces the friends for the Cap Birthday shows are the family band

I'll be very suprised if that's how it goes down Uncle Sam. But you never can tell.

Family Band w/JK

Oh I doubt it also, I assume it'll be Quintet or Q-lite, especially at those prices. Just laughing at how this place would react

Thanks on all counts. I've seen Donna Jean & the Tricksters, and have seen band members from the Tricksters in quite a few other line-ups...But a regular Zen Tricksters show--I've never caught one of those. So, I'm re-arranging some work scheduling stuff to make sure I can get there. Looking forward to that show!

Tickets are just ten bucks for that Zen Tricksters show! That's crazy...

You guys know that in most instances the Band sets the price, not the venue.

BB Brooklyn holds 700 for a show.

BBLV holds 2,500 for a show.

Let me know if your hitting a show at BBLV
