Play 1977

Inspiration, move me brightly
Light the song with sense and color
Roll away despair
More than this I will not ask
Faced with mysteries dark and vast
Statements just seem vain at last
Some rise
Some fall
Some climb
To get to Terrapin.

2017 promises to be an exciting year for Phil and the Terrapin Family Band. They have been studying the music, working on interpretations, building musical bonds, and writing new songs - coming from a special place, in a special place.

Next year Phil turns 77 and Terrapin Crossroads celebrates our 5th Anniversary. It’s the 40th anniversary of the legendary Grateful Dead shows of 1977, and of the seminal album Terrapin Station.

Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band featuring Ross James, Alex Koford, and Grahame Lesh along with many special guests will perform regularly in 2017, including shows from that magical year 1977, and a special performance of the album Terrapin Station at the 2017 Lockn’ Festival.

Join us as we seek to gain new insights into the music, community and tradition that is the Grateful Dead.

Thats a $2 price break from the other year shows, right?

Everyone is generous during the holidays.

$77 for 1977?

>>>and a special performance of the album Terrapin Station at the 2017 Lockn’ Festival.

Unreal

Sounds cheesy.

i like cheese.. bring on the formaggio

awful.

I'm looking forward to the show!

5 years since TXR opened...dang...

2017 Promises more high dollar bullshit lineups at TXR!

Buckle up and break out the wallets!

elderly GD stuff is hilarious

Looks like Ross replaced Stu.  It was good while it lasted....

BTW: Barry Sless et al.  completely ROCKED the bar last night!

Sless Rocks, period!

Johnny, there will definitely be good quality guests at any/all of these shows, just as there is this Sunday.

The music will continue to be good.

Pricey? That's relative.

You can afford it or you can't.

But the music will continue to be good.

note to self

start a gofundme page

Like anyone in this thread would have a bad time at this show?!? vivas please

I have a good time everywhere I go.

Where ever he goes the people all complain.....

Many peeps keep asking me WTF is with Stu on the outs at TXR?

Similarly Ezra too.

Anybody have any inside skinny?

I was at the show with Amy Helm and I thought that both Ross and Grahame have upped their guitar playing but that special Garcia-esque lead voice was sorely lacking.

I won't pay $77 for the Family band without a solid lead player involved.

Gimme Stu, Lebo, Sless, Casal, Matson, Abert, Scott Law - any one of them and I'd fork over for this '77 thing.
Otherwise I'm out.

I stand corrected about Stu being on the outs at TXR - but he's just not jamming with Phil which is a loss in my opinion.... not that it couldn't happen in future.

Here's a bunch of shows he's scheduled to play:

Phil, Grahame, Ross James, and Alex Koford; the new core four....LOL!  Shark officially jumped.  Time to get off the bus.  (Although the Brooklyn Bowl shows are a bargain at $65)

I Believe

Anyone have an extra for this 1/25 show?

Dflo- I know of 2 extras

call if you need

Barry Sless in the House?!

Good fun last night. Phil has taken these kids a long way and seemed very proud watching all their hard work pay off

Thanks for the reviews and set list.

I wonder if the same guests will play with the band tonight.

Did Phil do the solo coming out of the Eyes?

This Terrapin Station is tripping me out.

I just got in and it sounds like there may be two people playing piano...at different time signatures.

Anybody go to the thursday show?

Where's the set list Rob Scalcione?

smiley

>>>Did Phil do the solo coming out of the Eyes?

That's not how these things work, Greg.

Just a list of songs is all.
