Does not look like jam centric show, how was it in person? Kinda dead co set list not a Phil n Jill dipsey doodle setlist

Kinda Dead Co set list>>>

Not including the encore, put drums & space between Speedway & Wheel & you could include any GD 2nd set '91 to '95.  6 song 1st set ending in Deal also reminds me of the early-mid 90's.

Fun Friday night at the Cap. Phil having a great time. Beaming;-)

Plenty of room on the floor. The way it should be.

First set was fun. Neville slayed the Iko, which was perhaps the highlight of the show.

Second set. After a decent China-Rider, Graham Lesh absolutely desecrated Truckin'. It's one thing to have Junior on the side of the stage where he can't cause damage but he's now front and center between all these great players, getting in the way and fucking it up. Eric Krasno has to sit idly by while Graham plinks away? Just absolutely awful. A Roger MacNamee in training. You want the kid around Phil, fine. But at least have the realization he's a bar musician at best and should not be taking away the time and space of the professional musicians you brought in. Speedway and Wheel didn't get much better and the wind left the sails for this particular show.

Thanks for that review!

So did they ever clean the fucking carpet there?  What the fuck do they do with the profits?  It's actually a terribly greedy action to let it go so long.  Everyone should call them out on it. Hey Phil, you know Covid vaccines won't protect us from the carpet.  I guess I'll bring a mask in the likely event it still smells like vomit and stale beer.

Wolf Brothers blew the roof of the Warfield. Just saying

^^^ Was Barry a wolf pup last night?

Yes he was, and he melted the room with the colors of your mind..!

Fuck it I'm Goin!!!  See you freaks soon...

Poor man's Jackie Greene?

Don't elevate this train wreck.. more like a poor man's Ross James and that's being kind ..

1st set was meh, highlightfor me were they loved each other and birdsong. Second set was so fun tale of two shows. Tonight should be fun

Phil was beyond beaming, 2nd set was worth the ticket

Wow! Incredible show. Yes Phil was beyond beaming the entire night. Band was completely gelling and synced up. Krasno and Graham came out firing during Alabama with dueling leads and seemed to clearly clear the air from the night before. Then Krasno & Sco blazed in the same dueling manner. Second set was an absolute ripper start to finish. Very unique up-tempo Box opener. Denson's energy was palpable both nights really. He absolutely crushed everything on the sax and flute. Really Stellar interaction with his flute and the harp several times tonight.. A+ show!!

Great show. No complaints. So happy  to get to see Phil again.  Great vibe in the house.  The dank  carpet smell is gone!! Thank you Capital Theater. Thank you Phil. Great seeing friends.

Great to see all I saw!!!!   Good Times!!!    I believe there was a Blues for Allah tease and also Milking the Turkey Tease..

Thanks for the setlists, Noodler!

Doolittle my funny little brother, Jerry tunes are a must always.

But a Hey Pockey Way without Brent ??????

Piss on you Phil

The songs are bigger than the players.

Play on!

But a Hey Pockey Way without Brent ??????<<<

Yea, pretty sure Ivan Neville has carte blanche to perform Hey Pocky Way. In this band or any other.

Hey Pocky A-way was written by Ivan's Dad, and the rest of the Meters, so agreed, he's got carte blanche to perform it

i knew he was gonna do mountains

Sounds like it was a good weekend at the Cap!

Page on archive did not open?

Mille grazie.

^This

(I think Ivan was an interesting / strange choice as he's not a big "deadhead" so-to-speak. I guess a gig is a gig. I'm looking forward to checking out the recordings.)

fun weekend

Phil Lesh & Friends Sing “Happy Birthday to You” to Bobby Weir at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester

On Sunday, Phil Lesh & Friends took the stage at the fabled Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. There, they followed up on two previous nights of performances as a part of the Grateful Dead bassist’s extensive October residency, which began on Friday, Oct. 14. To cap off their first weekend, the group worked through many classic tunes and fan favorites plucked from the San Francisco jamband’s extensive repertoire. During the night, the band also played a rendition of “Happy Birthday to You” made out to Lesh’s Grateful Dead bandmate, Bobby Weir, who celebrated his 75th birthday on Oct. 16.

Lesh’s Sunday night gig got underway with a cover of Jerry Garcia’s “Sugaree” before they followed up with a take on The Meters’ “Hey Pocky A-Way.” The first frame continued with the traditional turned Grateful Dead staple, “Peggy-O,” before “Ship of Fools,” “Casey Jones” and “Mountains of the Moon.” For the final song of the initial set, the ensemble, which featured John Scofield, Eric Krasno, Karl Denson, Grahame Lesh, Ivan Neville and Mikaela Davis, landed on Louis Jordan and His Tympany Five staple track “Let the Good Times Roll.”

After a break from the stage, the group returned and broke into “Happy Birthday to You,” sung to Weir, who celebrated his 75th birthday across the country at The Warfield on Sunday night. As a fitting tribute, they followed up with a cover of “Playing in the Band,” a tune initially written by Weir and Robert Hunter. Next, they added “Mr. Charlie” to the mix before following up with “Eyes of the World” into “Scarlet Begonias” and, ultimately, “Fire on the Mountain.”

For the final songs of the second frame, Lesh led the band through a sparkling rendition of “Standing on the Moon,” which flowed into a set ending “Uncle John’s Band.” After a brief break, Lesh returned to the stage, where he discussed the importance of organ donation with the audience. The musician has advocated for the issue during his concerts since receiving a liver transplant in 1998. Then, the rest of the musicians returned and assisted on the night’s final tune, a cover of The Band’s classic number, “The Weight.”

After memorable moments on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Lesh will return to The Capitol Theatre next weekend to continue his residency at the Port Chester, N.Y. venue. This time, he’ll be joined by Rick Mitarotonda, James Casey, Natalie Cressman, Jennifer Hartwick, John Medeski, John Molo, and his son, Grahame Lesh. Tickets remain available and can be purchased here.
