Did by the time I read thatsmiley

I noticed the chat frame had disappeared too.  Figured I'd either regain vid or lose everything.

Sort of double-or-nothing.

All good.

Who is AK and JG? JG as in Chris Nelson or whatever his pen name is?

Oh and Tnx to Scott for link to stream & Tnx to NNJ for stream . . . .

AK = Alex Koford, TXR Valet Crew Chief

JG = Jackie Greene, I think proper Zoner acronym is JGe

Sorry if I touched a tender spot with JG.

And we're back

Help...

I don't know what I missed, but I'm liking this now.

This Viola is way better than 3/17's . . . .

Thanks Judit, Hello and hope you are enjoying the stream :)  ((( thanks for keeping it all going )))...enjoying Phil together from coast to coast.

Listenin in my tent while campin....

Priceless

I have huge new respect for Karl Denison (he was good @ the Sept shows too).  Never thought I'd enjoy jazz flute.

Good luck camping Jambone, it's Cold & Damp out there!  (assuming you're near home/in CT)

I'm really enjoying it! I wanted to go for a walk and just now thought that I can go out with my phone! I'm slow on the tech stuff.

You're welcome, lyn.

Watch your data usage Judit if you stream via smartyphone for any length of time

Unless you have wifi of course . . .

Oh, good point, Bob. I have wifi, but not if I'm out walking the neighborhood.

I love that they are playing their music, not GD, no matter what song.

Yes this is pretty unique.  Similar to the Sept Coney Is shows

Brass band onstage for 1st time in 2nd set

I heard a Lovelite riff

Cold and damp in new hampshire, sideshow, but thanks...nice and cozy on air matress, under a blanket, in sleepin bag, pillows, phil stream...

Roughin it...;)

Not that impressed w/1st set nor H-S-F but from Viola on they've really stepped it up.

well this is pretty cool

I have all my windows open so it's sorta like camping indoors

Hey E, when we were talking about bands I'd seen/heard in the '60s I completely forgot about the British bands - I think I just mentioned the Who - quite a few of them

PHJB sax player looks like Future Obama in the wide shots.

May the PSI in the mattress stay firm, Jambone.

Damp ground sucks.

fabulous show with the PJB !!!

i stand corrected.

i missed out by not being there.

in retro, jelly roll has a point about preconceived notions...

& thanks for the stream link

Well, that was a ripping good time!

spectacular show! cant wait to do it again

That was truly wonderful, if i were there I'd be a big pile of goo from dancing too hard...

Now I can be a big pile of goo from dancing too hard,  on my comfy heating pad in my recliner...lol

thanks nnJimmy :)

This show kinda fuckin rocks

This is so great, Couch Touring Phil & Friends!!! Woot!

I got a kick out of the Sanford and Son excursion during Viola - fun stuff!

Just got home, that show smoked from start to finish! Place was on fire. What can you say about a Bertha with flute and pedal steel? Great stuff tonight!

Was an absolute blast being in The Cap tonight...very hot show, and those sure were some nifty tempos

One of my favorite cap streams ever by far!

So no comments about Robert Randolph?  Was he just taking up space on the stage?

Randolph ripped all night, and not obtrusively so either..last night was the funk and horns, tonight we get out there.. saw Casal checkout out the show for a bit by one of the Cap side exits..

He was walking around the lobby for awhile - I crashed into him dancing, smiled and said love your band man, why ain't ya playin tonight, he laughed it off

out the door headed home

Who was the flute/sax player? That guy was trying breath every beat, kind of rushing the tempos.

Glad, many liked the show and had a great time. The broadcast audio & video was swell.

But I was very disappointed with the musical content. I hope tonight is much better. Who is Casel?

>>>>next level fuckin shit just went down  Phillip Chapman Lesh is a goddam superhero, that was some top shelf squishy right there!!!!!<<<<

I'm psyched all the way down here in KY to hear this news!

Happy birthday, Jeff!

That really was a fantabulous show!  So great to spend some time with you Jklown!

The band was very tight for having all those folks on stage.  Loved the set list.  I felt as if the first set was long enough to be a concert on its own.  I feel very thankful to have Phil Lesh showing up to town and blowing the roof off.

I wish I could go again tonight. Not likely.

If you are thinking about going...GO!

The circus ain't dead, the animals just play instruments now...

>>who is Casal?

Neal Casal played in Ryan Adams band and Chris Robinson Brotherhood.  He is playing with Phil tonight in place of Jackie Green.

Slamming....but but but practice u all talking bout practice...practice...

maybe someday da zone will learn...

Thanks, Rider.

Now I can be a big pile of goo from dancing too hard,  on my comfy heating pad in my recliner...lol  <<<<

Ha Ha !

The circus ain't dead, the animals just play instruments now... <<<<

Nice !

And happy birthday Levon Helm...

Watching Replay Real Nice !

Randolph was perfect! I was a little worried that he would be to much as he can be at times but he fit like a glove!

IMG_0075.JPG

Neal Casal photographing Phil in Marin

I have bandwidth issues where I'm at. That being said...

Was the music psychedelic?

If so, who brought it??

Also I should add...

I haven't see JGe since the Warfield Farewell "Album" run.

^^ Thats a weird picture lol one thing i gotta say is its pretty funny seeing that Alex Koford kid out there fuddering about on hand drums with a pot leaf tee on  WTF lol

If you think watching Koford puttering around on auxillery percussion was weird you should have seen what happened when Jackie Green handed him a guitar during Viola Lee. He literally just stood there and did nothing, it was one of the weirdest and most pitiful displays I've ever seen at a Phil show.

Great show otherwise.

dad, can me friend alex be in the band too?

Nepotism

Nepotism

Kind of like the Allman Brothers Band, The Neville Brothers, etc.

Nepotism or not it was a top5 p&f show for me, your mileage may vary  - give it a listen

https://www.jambase.com/article/phil-lesh-teams-preservation-hall-jazz-b...

No. Those bands were birthed from family. Not twilight year's add ons.

Regardless,  last nights show looks great.  Wish I was there and glad zoners had fun.

Anyone know what type of parking situation I would be facing, if I was there right at show time? Thanks.

Park in the Metro North/Mall parking garage. It's free, save, and a quick walk to the Cap.

Awesome. Thank you!

I would guess there will be Allmans played tonight

Pres Hall was a great addition the first night. Charlie from Pres Hall is a marvel, and I hope he keeps playing till he's 100... next week for all I know. That whole first night was a pure dose of fun, and pretty orderly despite there being about 14 musicians on stage at some points.

Karl Denson and Robert Randolph both nights were the absolute epitome of strength, competence, and excellence. Denson can sing, too. Those two flanked Phil on either side and together the three formed an unassailable core. Even the weirder arrangements, of which there were plenty (such as Jack Straw with lead flute) worked pretty well.

Second night was on another level and pretty much erased my specific memories of the first night.

hey Derrick!

if you didnt like those 2 shows then somethings wrong.

I'll never not adore this man

He is Good Jill
