Back problems was the word yesterday, and I have observed him to be having difficulty getting on and off stage lately. Hopefully something that can be readily fixed....

In my post above I meant CMAC on Saturday, not Sunday.  He has two Peach shows Thursday and Friday, then CMAC Saturday, then a smaller show at Levon Helms place Sunday, so four in a row really.  Rest up Phil!!!

All smiles and ROCKING HARD on Sunday -- Great show in the park. Be well Phil!

Levons is gonna be special....

As they all are these days...

Rest up for a big week, phil!

No Phil again today.... :(

• 1st time I met Phil

at the last Grateful Dead acoustic show which was possibly the first ever Phil Lesh and Friends show at the Berkeley Community Theater 1994...I showed up without a ticket but purchased a special ticket that got me and my girlfriend into the reception after the show, I remember Phil and I were speaking and I said "You guys sounded really good this evening!" and he said "Thanks, I thought all the bands sounded really good, especially Hieroglyphics", then I said "Didn't they open up for you on New Year's Eve 1988?" And he thought about it for a moment and then said "Yes they did!", then he made a motion with his left arm extending as if playing bass, and said "I was playing this evening and the people were "right there" and it felt beautiful!"  I then told him "I need you to know what a profound impact you've had on my life, thank you, God bless you!"  He then looked me straight in the eye and said "God bless you too!"
