Thanks Andy.

The way I read these dates is that the 13th and 14th are also open... the 3/14 show is only at Garcia's, so it could happen early before a main stage event, potentially... or it could be a rest day for a longer residency...

Given that Rick will have been a friend for the last two Phil runs, maybe conceivable that that fifth Goose night is a Phil + Goose show, followed by Phil shows on the 13th and 15th? And it does seem plausible they could book Garcia's and the main room on the same night also, maybe push up the Donato show to 6pm

Unless Goose has other dates that week after the Cap, it looks like it was planned for Phil to come in right after, with Rick from Goose staying in town and joining Phil. How would that not appear to be the case?

And by the way, Goose does NOT have any dates listed after the Cap, until March 23 in Boston.

So.... how does Phil’s birthday with Rick not make sense?

I’m expecting it. 3/13, 3/14, 3/15 at the least. It’s actually hard to imagine any other scenario.

work is already too busy Gonna miss this one :(

never say never tommy

It would be nice to see Phil stick with a single lineup for several runs so that they can gel.

People are busy and they all can’t wait around for Phil when they probably want to work more than he does.

And the flip side of that, or maybe I could say the Phlip side, is that Upper Management doesn’t want any one batch of players to start thinking (and charging) like they’ve “got it made.” They’re probably only willing to go as far as Molo with that.

The Fox Theatre in Oakland is open for a Phil Birthday run....

March 13,14,15 + 16, 17,18

Epic Phantastic!!!

March 13 forward are still open except for the Regina Spektor show on the 16th... those dates are getting pretty close to still have time to announce and sell shows, but maybe Shapiro is holding the days for Phil to make a late call on yes or no

I have no idea but Phil usually announces Cap shows/runs 3-4 months in advance, seems unlikely to me.

Late announcement or not, doesn’t matter. There is NO way the Cap is still holding those mid-March dates without it being Phil — especially since Goose is right before (with no Goose dates elsewhere right after) on March 13-14-15.

It’s Phil with Goose Rick returning on guitar, or I will be very very very very shocked.

Phil did announce the Denver run pretty last minute, just sayin'... they know the shows will sell out no matter when they announce.

The Geese are playing 5 nights in a row, March 8-9-10-11-12. Hard to see Rick M playing three more nights with Phil.

Phil in Chicago March 11-12

Woz: LOL!! As if Rick would tell Phil he’s too tired to play.

No offense, but, get serious.

If anything, now that Phil has announced 3/11 and 3/12 in Chicago, it’s easier to see that PHIL would want a night off instead of playing 3/13 in NY.

Looks more likely Phil with Goose Rick and friends on 3/14, 3/15, and probably more after the 16th. The Cap might be booked on 3/16, but that gives Phil and gang a night off after his birthday, then back at it on 3/17.

I can see the 3/14-15. I was more thinking no three day run. Phil could also skip his birthday and play 3/17-18-19

March 15-17-18-19 just announced for the Cap

The Grahame Lesh show. Pass.

See ya Phil! I was a nice run.

Great band Phil! I wish I could make it!

Well look at that! Goose Rick for Cap shows before and after the 16th.

It was too obvious.

Phuck yeah PHIL!!!!

The Grahame Lesh show. Pass.

See ya Phil! I was a nice run>>

Take only Medeski & Molo, give me 2 out of Kadelcik/Jackie Green/Larry Campbell to make a rocking band.

Never thought I'd be pining for the Ham & Eggers. Saw the 10/22 show, OK but not for what they charge at the Cap.
