PHISH MSG

Forums:

Very quiet here regarding the 7 night run.

I'll be going in tonight for another great time at the Garden.  Makes me very nostalgic for the times I saw the Grateful Dead there.  It's different but just as much fun.

I haven't been in MSG since 10/19/94. My final indoor GD shows

10/17/94 my last Grateful Dead show at the Garden.  Bob Dylan came out for the  encore.   Lots of great memories ..

2008 for me. Saw Linkin Park with Jay-Z as special guest. Good show.

My last was September 1990. First post Brent, and last East Coast show. I do miss that shed.

I sold my tues night tix, had to attend a wake.

Tuesday audience streams got shut down.

I've been listening to the next day replays and the MSG shows have been absolute FIRE!!

I think Tuesday, 8/3 was the best of the bunch.  Apologies to any/all that couldn't attend as neither could I.

my only MSG shows were the last two nights (17th & 18th) of the '91 run.

really wish i'd caught the 16th.

My last two MSG shows were both freebies (early DeadCo (we donated to something afterward; I forget what) and Clapton).

TIP: Even free, seats on "The Bridge" pretty much suck.

Hmm, no official streams? Shucks. Would like to tune in.

Any links y'all know that might work for tomorrow?

Their Production Designer, Chris McGregor, unexpectedly died today of a heart attack at the age of 61.  I'd imagine that Phish will have some sort of musical tribute worked into tonight's show:

Watched the 7th and final MSG show tonight and WOW! Incredible!

Feels like THE show of the tour! Honestly can't think it can get much better than that musically in 2023, but I'm biased.

If you were there, even better!

R.I.P Chris McGregor

No knock on the Fishes (I don't really get them) but apparently last several shows have been covid fests. It's out there again, take care.

COVID is yesterday's news, the new wookie flu.

Around here it's Legionnaires’ disease we're worrying about this week.

Oh, the joy of life.

I suppose it would be safer if we just didn't "really get" anything.

But how boring would that be?

As Jay mentioned they are doing the free replay of last night's show.  It is at 11am EST on JEMP radio website or via the app. https://jempradio.com/

>several shows have been covid fests<

I'm going to a show this autumn, and either the venue or the artist requires proof of vaccination.

My son's mom was at MSG and caught the Covid.

I was at Tuesday and Fridays shows and have Covid positive since last night

I went Wednesday Friday Saturday.  So far I'm not Down with Disease.  ...

thanks to sirius i listened the next day at noon after every show, except the last one which we watched

my fave show was my father's bday, 8/2

Yep! I was one of those, completely anti-Phish until some open minded friends brought me to a 2-show run in Albany in 2009.  My mind was fully blown!!  To the same level of when I saw the GD light in 1982!  This band is so incredibly talented and profound, it's ridiculous. Their sense of humor is unique and highlarious... they never take themselves too seriously and blow the roof off of venues almost every night. Musically, all four are virtuosos and the synergy between them is as high as the GD ever got. The level of Gig in the crowd is absolutely all-time!!  So glad I saw this light.

SPAC here we come.....

Has there ever been a band that has stayed together this long with the same lineup. They have to either be close to breaking that record or have long surpassed it.

I love that they are still the same band I saw playing all those years ago in that little bar in Ithaca

If Jerry was actually alive and only played one show that happened to be at MSG, I would not go.

F their facial recognition / ban on attorneys associated with firms representing clients who are in litigation with their company and such.

The Haunt? I saw them there and the State back in the early days. Couple times in Syracuse in that era too
