PHISH MSG RUN

Forums:

It's happening.
Step in !

A band with all original members.  How unique!

Tell that to Jeff Holdsworth.

^^^^ Yes Jeff is aware. They are still all original members.

Why does Page count as original?  He didn't join until their second year.

Yep.  Sort of like how Phil is not an original member but Dana Morgan Jr. is.

And some people call Mickey an "original" member.

It was more than a couple of shows.  Marc Daubert came and went as percussionist before Page joined.

I just checked.  It looks like Page's first appearance with them was at their 23rd show, on May 3,1985, although he was not an official member until the Fall of 1985.

A friend just sent this to me, I hope this link works. I got in.

I'm beginning to think that there are drugs involved,,,

Mike: "This is my best sounding bass rig ever".

Audience: "This is Mike's worst sounding bass rig ever".

Thanks for the link, Joe.   It worked fine.  I listened to a little bit of the show while I was closing up my shop.  The portion I heard was some not terribly interesting nebulous jamming.  It didn't help that my lighter was spent, so I couldn't get blazed while I closed, so I shut my computer down to go find some fire.  I will be better prepared tonight.

^ spent lighter.

Made me laugh. It's a first world problem for sure, but it's not funny when it happens....lol

My prediction, They will tease "The Peanuts Theme"for Jimmy.

LOVED last night's first set for the most part

AC/DC bag will never not please me

looking forward to the next 2

will have torchery

we had a great night Sat night - great seats ,  great row mates and aisles are always a great spot...

they came out swinging with a Simple and Free and a 3 song encore to get us out the door late...

band was ON FIRE

>>>AC/DC bag will never not please me

That song brought me from the worst trip ever depths of hell back to the real world.

Was at the the first two nights.... soooo much fun!! Shows in that city are like no other! N1 was fantastic, highlights included Simple (Give that one a listen.... so smooth, the band gelling out of the gate, lead in to a killer jam), Antelope, FYFace, 46 Days. Driver, Mango & Round Room were nice surprises!  N2 absolutely RIPPED! Highlights through the whole show but in particular - Caspian jam, Runaway Jim, Ghost!!, Entire second set, Bold as Love! Crosseyed blew the place up! Ruby Waves offered the longest jam Phish ever played in MSG!  Vibe in the building both nights was high!! Totatl raging gigfest. Haven't missed a New Years run at MSG since 2009 and this year did not disappoint!!

On another note, checked Steely Dead after the show on N1... really fun band, they're good and worth seeing!

I attended first two nights as well.  Amazing good time!

Ohhhh I missed fuck yer face

): ): ):

Here's to tonight

Big Cactus Energy, despite my unfucked face

Starkdar- thx for sharing. Been watching on the tele & has been a fun run. Really enjoyed Ruby Waves on night 2 . Quite the long show last night. Somehow knew is was going to end up with Chalk Dust Torture at the end.

...and yes Steely Dead is a super fun bar band. Seems like they really dig what they do and have fun with it. Seen them several times already and hope they pass by again.
Happy New Year!!

>>>big Cactus Energy, despite my unfucked face

lol

3 out of 4 ain't bad

figuring tey blew their wad on gamehendge last year and they're out of ideas

IMHO As a casual Phish phan I am embarrassed for anyone who thought that last night was good/great

DiscoPhishkets seemed to me like they recycled the unused Mondegreen gag

97% of their new songs suuuuuck mainly because they sound like practice jams and Un worked lyrics.

I'm so glad I wasn't suckered into going there this year.

Watching the NYE show right now.  Yep.

Those tricky kids

the half-hour around midnight was a hot mess, but I thought the rest of the show was good.
