Still sucks after all these years
First time I saw them was 1988 in San Francisco, I liked em.
30 visits later and they still put on a fun show
St Augustine in the rain with a bunch of FREAKS, and they did not disappoint.
I'd say the 3D show in 2011 was the best of all of em. Surprised no other band picked up on thaat 3D idea

It's just that the output usually isn't very musical

My good friend Brian Carroll
My good friend Brian Carroll was working at Winterland in 99 when Les and Co went to look at 14 ideas for the big millennium new years show. The band did not see anything they liked and was leaving. Les walked past Brains desk, stopped and pointed at a sketch Brian had. Les said, That’s It !!!
They made posters and t-shirts with his design and hired him to be their artist. Brian worked for Primus for around 6 years, and the funny thing is Brian truley hated the music. Countless times he would mail me tickets, including NYE shows that a limo would pick us up and my wife and I would go into the show and he would cruise around San Fran smoking bongs in the back.
I have that original drawing and the original tour shirt framed and hanging in my bedroom.
Brian drew a lot of rock n roll stuff and a lot of it I am sure many of you would recognize.
Brian was a kind soul who I loved from the bottom of my heart. All he ever wanted was a woman to spend time with and all he got was users and abusers who took advantage of his kindness. When he was 51 he couldn't take it anymore and hung himself.
Fuck
He was a good one, someday Brian we will see each other again.

Damn Tim, that must make seeing Primus something other than just a fun night out for you.
It's sad and a little shocking how many people see kindness in others as something to use for themselves.
Primus and (some) people suck.

My near 70 year old friend
My near 70 year old friend went to see them in Bend Oregon, his first time. He reported on FB, with pics and videos, that a riot broke out!!! I had to explain to him it was a "mosh pit", a term, and experience, that was new to him. Afterwards he posted the dictionary definition of what a mosh pit was... I got a good laugh out of it!
Primus sucks!!!

I saw the show on Saturday in
I saw the show on Saturday in Atlanta. Damn, what a show. Perfectly created for psychedelics. The Frog brigade was fantastic. Skerik and Mike Dillion are so good in that band, they killed D's Diner. The Delirium was 2nd and was trippy as ever. It is crazy to hear Sean Lennon sing, you can almost hear his dad. There was a short intermission and then Primus came out. I was dialed in all night on Ler and his guitar. So good. They played my favorite song Harold of the Rocks. I have not heard that one live in a while. Also played Pudding Time, which I had not heard in a long time.
Frog Brigade: Phantom Patriot / Amanitas / David Makalaster / D's Diner
Claypool Lennon Delirium: Blood and Rockets / Little Fishes / What a Predicament / Troll Bait / The Golden Egg of Empathy / Astronomy Domine (all 3 bands)
Primus: Here Come the Bastards / Dirty Drowning Man / American Life / Pudding Time / Welcome to this World / My Name is Mud / Mrs. Blaileen / The Toys Go Winding Down / The Ol' Grizz / Harold of the Rocks (with Rush tease). Encore: Wynona's Big Brown Beaver / Tomorrow Never Knows (all 3 bands).
