Plant Starting to Bud Way Too Early

Forums:

One of my plants is an Indica dominant hybrid called "Mt. Hood Magic."    Its been outside for about a month and half and has grown very bushy, but squat at just over two feet tall.   About a week ago, I noticed it was starting to bud.   Usually, that doesn't happen until August.

I had plants last year that I put out way too early start to bud, then "re-veg," and then went on to do very fine after that, but I am seeing no signs that it is going back into a vegetative state and the plant just keeps budding, which I guess could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.   The other plants on the patio are still in vegetative state right now and growing about an inch or more a day.

Do certain strains just bud early?

Where did you get your clone? Most clones available at dispensaries are grown for indoor use and are acclimated to 24 hr. light. If you put them outside in April/May with 15 hr. light many varieties will flower.

But after a month and a half?

Now that I think about it, it has probably been more like two months.  I got it as a small clone right after the Spring Equinox (March 21) from the neighborhood dispensary and it has been doing really well since (except for the early budding).

I first had it near a fence where it would was partially shaded in the morning and thought that could have been the culprit, so I then dragged it out to the middle of the patio where it has full sun all day, but that didn't seem to trigger re-veg and it still keeps budding.

Rejoice THE GREEN !

No Bud Starting to Plant Way Too Early spin-off?

Not sure if I'm disappointed or proud of y'all.

Hit it with a bunch of nitrogen. Some guano or something, look for a high "N" number in the N-P-K, like a 9, or 12.  By and large you can't put out clones till the end of May up there (assuming Portland) or the 1st of June most places. If you had kept a light on it for a couple hours a night to extend the light cycle you would have been fine but only seeds can go out that early.

Nitrogen doesn't stop flowering

light dep it and have freshies way early. would a 55 gallon trash can cover it?
