Been playing a lot of vinyl lately since I got my new turntable.. Sounds great, but a bunch of my records are not aging gracefully. Analog laser disc seems like the best solution - wonder why it never became the standard.

Somebody figured out how to accomplish what has been told to me a very similar effect onto files that can be burned onto CDs.  I have some of his albums (hopefully going to get more but have been waiting for a while) and they sound amazing.  I swear you can hear the wood on Old Black.

My bet is the system sounds insane.
