Popa Chubby is very good/under the radar guitar player, that really embraces the blues.

Enjoy the show, Tim.

I look forward to seeing him in June.

Cool. Thanks for the checking in. Nice set list.

I just witnessed a very special night of music with Popa Chubby at the Boulton Center in Bayshore, NY tonight 6/17

Where there is blues in our church, and our gospel comes to us in bent and strangled guitar strings.

Popa comes out says hello introduces the band and they're off into a wailing blues shuffle in the key of E -

Second song in is 15 minute version of Hey Joe (Popa plays Jimi)

A ripping version of the Band of Gypsies "They Don't Know (Popa plays Jjimi)

A stellar version of Voodoo Chile (Popa plays Jimi)

He had the whole crowd singing through out the show; especially on Ray Charles's Baby What you Want.

A few Popa original songs about women's Dairyaires & spending your last $ on whisky and stuff.

Closed the show with Leonard Cohen's “Hallelujah" and "encored with "Further on up the Road"

See Popa Chubby if you ever get the chance.

It was sort of a homecoming for Popa Chubby. He spoke about getting drunk and going to Jones Beach when he was 16.

No Popa Chubby love?

Post your Tattoos.

Looks like he picked up a keyboardist.

He played some more Jimi than when I saw him and he did stand for you too.

Glad you had fun and I will catch him when he comes around again.

He is a big man and he has a lot of love to give and to get.

Thank you Tim!

The keyboard player now with Popa is David Keyes. I hung out with him before the show at the merch table, cool cat. He wails and has a great soulful voice.

He has 2 CDs out his on the street selling.

Just saw Dave Keyes with Alexis P. Suter 2 weeks ago. Real good player. Thought about going to see Popa Chubby, but ended up in Philly instead.

After seeing Popa I told my wife that felt like a straight forward rock-n-roll concert with no frilly bullshit.

I am seeing Poppa Chubby tomorrow !

Can't wait !

No one in my neck of the woods is living the life of the blues more then me

Bring it !

It rubs off on folks ~
