Does she have a cell phone, and would be capable of navigating thru an app to play music?
Sonos
“Your personal music library
Play music from every PC, Mac, and storage drive on your home network. Up to 16 sources. And all those songs on your smartphone, too.
Choose “On this phone” in the Main Menu and listen to your heart’s content.”
i do do not have mine connected to the home network tunes, I just stream Sirius, Pandora, Spotify, etc, and I also have a head phone jack that I can plug into my computer, CD player and then access it thru the system. One of the small speakers has Alexa built in so she could do it by voice command once it is set up
Also you do not need a pairs of speakers. Single speakers that can be paired if you want.
sound is pretty good, but I love the convenience, and yes I have a room with some Denon equipment and a hodgepodge of Tannoy, Klipsch and RBH speakers, and sub in case I want to do some serious listening.
its the size of a guitar amp at least, but its huge size allows for much better battery life, sound quality and volume than its smaller competitors. you can link 2 of them together for stereo sound, use it while plugged into the wall without using the battery, and it floats, so you can toss it in a lake and it still works.
