At least it’s from an era when I was actually into them for a minute

Fun show, but a bit controversial. Max Creek had been playing the Wednesday night slot at the Living Room pretty regularly, and Phish jumping in made for some unhappy people! A major lot scene had risen around Creek, and it had become a major source of "off Tour" income for a lot of people. A lot of shit got moved there on Wednesdays, phonebooks and phonebooks. Phish started playing on Wednesdays, and it ended that scene.

Not a fan of Phish

Still rather listen to Max Creek

According to the sound engineer from the living room Max Creek canceled that night and Phish filled in.

the story about how this recording saw the light of day is here: https://twitter.com/brahmin_noodles/status/1322595752636534784?s=21

The Living Room was much different then Lupos

We were glad Creek gave up their slot in that shit hole

>>>and it had become a major source of "off Tour" income

Since I'm married to Mike Gordon - I have already had access to this recording for years.

I had no idea.

Power bottom?

When I talk to Phish fans, I let them know that I'm a deadhead so it's not my primary thing... but I've been to enough Phish shows throughout their career to know they are an important band that can put on a superb show with deep, intelligent, and joyful music. I will listen to this- but, it's early, and I don't think that's their best "era" at all. 1990's and 3.0 is where it's at.
