Radiation Levels in the Fukushima Reactor Are Soaring Unexpectedly

Forums:

I sure hope this is fake news:

The radiation levels inside Japan’s damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor No. 2 have soared in recent weeks, reaching a maximum of 530 sieverts per hour, a number experts have called “unimaginable“.

How legitimate is The Centre for Global Research?

It is by no means an objectively reliable media source.  The articles, videos, and other media it puts forth are highly skewed and often factually inaccurate.

Does PBS have an agenda too?

This appears real, being reported at multiple sites. Amazing that the company is still in charge of the cleanup (coverup) and not releasing any real information.

The PBS link is from 2012 and not really related to the OP of current spiking levels.

Here's the Guardian story on this. I believe the Guardian was the first to break the story and Global Research picked it up, but could be wrong..

Its the top story on Fox News too:

They say the radiation is so high inside that they can't even send in a robot.  It would "fry" the robot in two hours.

i thought the earth can handle anything the humans throw at it? What's a little radiation going to do?

>? What's a little radiation going to do? <

kill and mutate organisms?

Mutations are essential to evolution. Maybe this is just part of a natural cycle?

turtle, i don't think Heybro was serious.

Bananas and sunshine emit radiation? So this is no big deal...right?

"the resistance" will take care of it.

Mutation...Evolution...six o' one...

EDIT:  Ha.  Didn't even see Brochaco's post
