Remember Signers At Shows?

Forums:

For the Deafheads. Good to see that it still goes on:

Good stuff right there.

It's a beautiful dance with added meaning.heart

saw them at deadco last year

A nice accommodation required by law.  I enjoy tuning in to the signer when the lyrics get weird!

^me too, and i wish i could "read" sign..or sign myself, etc., because ive also seen them signing once or twice in midst of a long long guitar jam...id really like to "hear" how they are describing a solo..

Good stuff

Was really interesting watching them at the Dylan show. Apparently they couldn't understand what he was sayin'  either.  Had  special signing for blah blah blah-

I may be wrong, but i think they just pointed to bathroom during opening chords of lil red rooster...

While I think it's awesome they're there & doing what they do, I have a hard time not getting distracted by some who are more "animated".

It took a couple times seeing them before I realized they weren't just other twirlers.

I wonder if twirlers and dancers that gesture with their hands a lot are like "show talkers" to the deaf............

I once saw a deaf guy at a show with a shirt on that said, "Let Phil Sign!"

no I didn't

sign me sweet and sleepy........................

I wonder if the signers get set lists in advance?
