Richard Thompson’s 70th Celebration

Happy Birthday to the best songwriter and guitar player Earth has ever known.

LOL Brits and their math.

Metric system Nedb.

Dimming Of The Day w/ David Gilmore.  He even drops a few licks from Comfortably Numb to start off his guitar solo.

Gilmour?

Sure

Impressive lineup. Linda Thompson made it for a tune, although it seems she was mixed in with a  few other Thompsons - you couldn't really call it a proper Richard & Linda 'reunion'. Nice to see Ashley Hutchings, Simon Nicol, and Dave Pegg from the classic Fairport lineup in there. Surprised no Robert Plant, as he was a huge Fairport backer, but Gilmour probably helped fill a few seats.

Senior citizen guitarists. So boring. You know timmy blew his load for this one. Just wait til his 80th man. Will be even snoozier

You deserved to be there.

Is that RT's guitar tech?

I've seen him sit in, seemingly at random, judging by RT's reaction.

Would have loved to have seen this, hopeful a DVD will be released.
