A longtime Bay Area radio personality on KSAN and later KFOG.
He mostly did news coverage, with a twisted edge, and lots of rock interviews. He was cool and I enjoyed his stuff, but he had the best tag line of all time...
"If you don't like the news, go out and make some of your own."
I used to have that up in my classroom.
Here's an interview with Bill Graham at Winterland. It's mostly Bill doing the talking (imagine that) but it's a good bit. Nisker interviewed me for a moment in line that day too. I've never understood why that didn't make it in the completed KQED broadcast & video. Go figure.

Thanks for the 'Scoop', Lance
Thanks for the 'Scoop', Lance.
I'm sorry to hear this. He seemed like an all around good guy and his KFOG segments were usually interesting. Especially during the years with the M. Dung show. RIP

He was part of the Bay Area sound track for so long; I missed listening to him on KSAN when I moved to Humboldt county in 1969.
