RIP.

He must have been in the later line-ups.  To me, Bad Company is Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, Boz Burrell and Simon Kirke.  That was their original and classic line-up that stayed together for six records.  After that, I stopped paying attention to them.  The self-titled first album is great, Straight Shooter is solid, Burnin' Sky and Run With The Pack are both pretty thin, and Desolation Angels was a strong return to form.  The original line-up imploded while making Rough Diamonds.  It seemed like they were caught between sticking with their Blues-Rock formula and trying to keep up with the harder sounds of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal acts like Judas Priest, Motörhead, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard.

If you're a fan of early Bad Company, you should check out the movie Scotland, PA.  It's the story of Shakespeare's Macbeth reset in modern times in Pennsylvania and takes place around a fast food restaurant.  Christopher Walker has a good role in it, and the music is all classic Bad Company.
