A giant talent in the Jazz community, and one of our greatest acoustic bassists.  Have been a fan since the mid 1980s when he appeared on the scene playing with Wynton and Branford Marsalis.  Give Black Codes From The Underground  a spin to experience his genius.   Felled by a heart attack at age 54.  Be free of pain and go to the light.
