RIP Dave Mason

Forums:

Another great one gone. Traffic was one of my favorites. . Too many passing lately for my liking. Going to listen to John Barleycorn to soothe the sadness.

RIP Dave.

However, he didn't play on Barleycorn.

Not feeling too good myself.... Rip Dave, one of my first albums  certified Live

Saw him with Steve Cropper in 2019 or so. Played a weird faster version of 'Low Spark of High Heeled Boys'. Funny, because he didn't play on the record.

Saw him about 10 years ago at a tribal pow-wow up north.  He sounded good. Played a sweet Dear Mr. Fantasy, 40,000 Headmen, Feelin' Alright, and We Just Disagree.

RIP

Feelin' Alright is another Mason all-timer.  Played the crap out of Certified Live as a college freshman, started in High School w/Split Coconut.

Caught him in the 70s a handful of times, always solid.  R.I.P.

Saw him the first time in Feb 80 at SUNY Delphi when I was checking out colleges. I saw him 3 or 4 more times. Always a fun time.

R.I.P.

I saw him a couple times.  This is a huge loss.

Rest in Peace, Dave.

Got to see him play many times. RIP. Not feeling to good myself .....

Saw him about four years ago.  Was surprised by how many songs he was associated with.

His work with Delaney & Bonnie is my personal favorite.   TTB does a smoking "Only You Know and I Know"   RIP.

crying

He played south Florida and Stuart 2x a year. Saw hin 2 dozen times, Loved the Dave as my wife called him.

RIP brother, sure will miss our good times.

RIP Dave.
