RIP Dave McCoy, age 104

If you don’t know who Dave McCoy was, he built mammoth mountain over about a 20 year period with his bare hands. He started with a rope tow built from scavenged model T parts in the 30’s. Mammoth is worth over a billion today. A real visionary kind of dude who really just loved sharing skiing with people. I met him once, around 1996. It has been said the man never took a vacation in his life.
