RIP: Franco Harris

Forums:

And tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception, the Raiders come to town Saturday.  His #32 was to be retired at halftime of  Saturday's game.  Eerie

Saw the big play on my parent's couch next to my younger brother, who was a huge Oakland fan.  First playoff win in Steeler's history....

That's sad news and wow on the timing line up with his famous catch. I remember his college days at Penn State.

yeah weird timing.

there is a life size franco harris statue in the pitt airport, it's pretty cool.

A great player for some great Steelers teams.  Among the best ever.  Franco's Italian Army mourns a surprising loss.  He was looking better than Bradshaw just a few weeks ago.

December 23 is the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception. Only Franco knew if that ball hit the ground!

Like how he just drops the ball in the endzone after the TD with no added celebration.  Pure class.  The fans are going nuts.
