2016 can go fuck a bag of chainsaws.

Oh my God.

Sad news.

Huge fan of ELP.

Emerson, Lake, and Palmer out at Nassau Coliseum in 1978 was a major concert highlight for me.

I hate to post this - but with the age and lifestyle of many rock and roll heroes - I'm not sure 2017 is going to be much better.

I hate to say it but I'm going to have to agree with Patrick. I too believe that people will continue to die in 2017. - People that we admire and love and even people that we've never heard of.

Flame away

Damn.

ELP def one of my top 5 all time favorite bands.

((RIP))

Horrible year for musicians. 2016 just needs to end. RIP Greg.

An ELP fan for sure, but a bigger fan of his work with King Crimson.

Never a fan but obviously an influential musician from the era that I grew up in.

RIP

I've been listening to Lake era KC for the past two days. Wow.

Rest in peace, Greg Lake.

Keith in March and now Greg.

I was a Lucky Man to have seen him in his prime....R I P

FUCK CANCER sad

Damn.

I was a huge ELP fan in my youth, and also for me the show I saw in '78 remains with me.

He had a great career, he was a lucky man.

Saw ELP in 77 at Baltimore Civic Center, very impressive musicans, Greg Lake especially.

RIP

Confusion will be my epitaph....

RIP Greg

Hope he kicked Emerson in the balls for that synth-diarrhea Lucky Man coda.

RIP

That sucks! Love the Works album. Saw them at Soldier Field in 1977 with a full orchestra. Foghat, J. Geils band and Climax blues band opened.

>>>>>that synth-diarrhea Lucky Man coda

Hated that when I first heard it, but over the years I have come to accept it.

Surfdead, there's a great anecdote about that solo in this Interview link. You and the rest of the Zone should enjoy this In-depth Archival Interview with Greg Lake by my partner on "Morning Dew", Stu Robins. We replayed it last night in honor of Mr. Greg Lake's memory. RIP.
