Most folks won't know who he was, but I just saw that this very cool Bay Area bass player passed away, and I feel like posting about it.

I'm sure that the show at TxR tonight with Scott Amendola & Will Blades honored John, as he played often with both, and I saw him often with Amendola and is why I knew of him.

The guy was a great bass player, and it sounds like he was a great guy as well. We take these talents for granted.
