A "Monkey" that could actually play...guy was pretty talented on guitar, bass, banjo, drums etc...and obviously could act, or be a good comedic actor etc...
He was actually rcmdd for part for tv show by stephen stills after stills auditioned and didnt get part...
Cancer finally took its toll after a long battle, saw him a few times in past at various festivals in new england and ct. As he lived in area etc...always brought a good show...

There's a great documentary out there about these guys, some really interesting and funny stuff. Don Kirshner got so frustrated with them (especially Nesmith) that he created The Archies on the theory that it was easier to deal with a made up group that didn't have any real people in it.

Can you provide the name? The only thing I found on Netfix and Amazon has actors playing the Monkees in a fictional adaptation
