Pretty decent show last night at Seattle's Neptune Theatre. His son Waylon handled the vocals, and the bassist was Philip Chen who played in Peter Tosh's Word, Sound & Power band and on many great Reggae sessions. It was also the debut performance with the band for keyboardist Ed Rock ( Roth?), who did a fine job with Ray's parts.
Robby impressed me with his playing, still ripping it up at age 71. His finger-picking style was cool to see live, including a nice "Spanish Caravan". They played an all Doors two hour set, with a double encore of "Love Me Two Times" and "Light My Fire" which included quotes from "Eleanor Rigby", "My Favorite Things", and "Third Stone From The Sun". Other highlights included "Peace Frog", "Horse Latitudes", "Back Door Man", "Five To One", "L.A. Woman", "When The Music's Over" which Robby said was Jim Morrison's favorite song, and "Riders On The Storm" which he said was Ray's favorite.
They are playing the Alladin Theatre in Portland, Oregon tonight.

The only guy in that band
The only guy in that band that I ever had any interest in. Good seeing that he's still out there.
