Most indicators and political analyses seem to point to GOP taking the House but Dems may extend their lead in the Senate....and I tend to agree with that forecast as well. The House is mostly hamstrung without majority power in the Senate.

^That asshole will be doing just that - if he can gather the support to become Speaker - but they die in/at the Senate. Checks and balances in a way but also a huge waste of time and govt resources in the mean time but such is where we are as a country/govt. Maybe some ridiculous 'gotcha' BS on Hunter Biden et al all while trying to kill anything to do with Dumbo/GOP-related....yippee. We can "look forward to" a Jan 6-like inquiry into Hunter Biden.

That is wishful thinking and I wish that were a likely probable outcome but it is not. I would not at all recommend placing any bets on that statement/sentiment. Reality aside, House races are very partisan and act more like primaries in the worst ways. GOP only has to pick up a relative few seats to take the majority and they are fully expected to do so. Senate races to watch in particular would be PA & GA. NV may be a wild card.

Racket, I mentioned that I was going to Karlsruhe and you said that you liked it there. I was really looking forward to it but my trip has been canceled 3 times, once in the fall of 2020 (Covid time) and twice this year because of my friend who lives there's health. She's moving back here to deal with her health here, and I think my Karlsruhe plans are over.
