He was on Mark Marons Podcast a few days ago, pretty good interview

sorry no link

Same band? <<<<

No

It's NOT The Shining

I think the current band is Vic Johnson, Michael Anthony and Jason Bonham.

^^nice is he doing all metal covers?

ORION LIVE per say

I could dance the night away to some Ryan Rocker.

I do hope more bands try putting out an all vinyl 7inch box set album.

He is also headlining the gasparilla music fest in Tampa March 11

from jambase:

Adams has recently been backed by a band made up of keyboardist Ben Alleman, drummer Nate Lotz, bassist Charlie Stavish and guitarist Benny Yurco of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. The new dates include the Beacon Theatre in New York City on May 3, followed by stops in Portland, Maine and Toronto, Canada. Jenny Lewis will support Adams on May 10 at Blue Hills Bank in Boston and May 12 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland....

No Netherlands?!

What are the smallest and largest venues?

New band sucks.

The Edgefield!

new band hasn't debuted yet, so no one knows if they suck or not.

oh he is replacing the sucky one?

He played a very ugly sounding song on Jimmy Fallon last night.

Very memorable; it was that bad. I don not get this guy at all.

Caught the Apollo show Thursday night. As a diehard Ryan fan I would call it very solid. For sure the classics were the highlights - Dirty Rain, Cold Roses, Peaceful Valley, Magnolia Mountain, tremendous acoustic versions of Wonderwall and Come Pick Me Up (encore) - I didn't mind the new songs either. Haunted House and Doomsday are really nice tracks and To Be Without You has the makings of a classic. Will say that the band added nothing and might keep me from catching another show on this tour.

I am going to keep on listening. I respect jk's music tastes

Nice review David.

Both of the songs he did on Fallon are here: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/watch-ryan-adams-perform-aching-p...

I think To Be Without You is better than the one that aired.

I would agree with that Zooey, I like "To Be Without You", better

I just watched the song that aired on Fallon's show. It isn't bad IMO.

He's clearly wanting to be rocking harder and that's what he's doing.

This band works well enough in that harder, more spare rock approach, but it's still all about Ryan.

As well it should be.

The Berkeley Greek is a big venue for him; I can't think of any show he's headlined in the BA in a venue that big. It will interesting to see how well it sells, but his excellent dynamic range will work well there.

I'd love to be there, but Lambchop is too rare a thing and I just love that band, so I figure to have to miss the RA show.

His New CD is Like 9 Dollars.......

I'd Like him to Go More Country Alt w/ Pedal Steel

>>> He's clearly wanting to be rocking harder and that's what he's doing. <<

I listened to the new album on Spotify. Ironically, he is sounding more and more like Bryan Adams with his last few releases.

And, yes, some pedal-steel would bring it back to where I'd like it to be. Going to pass on Red Rocks with this ensemble.

Solo appearance live now on http://www.kcrw.com

Anyone else get the Verified Fan Presale e-mail from ticketmaster?

So, I responded, and registered to MAYBE be selected to receive a pre-order code by text message on the morning of the presale.

Uber-motherfuckin-innie presale, lol. Only for my city, too. I mean, kudos to trying to get to fans & skip the scalpers. I wonder how the pre-review to decide who gets texted a code?

Glad he's playing Portland, wish it wasn't so close to the beginning. I always seem to catch the beginning of a tour, where he's not quite as comfortable & together yet.

Here's some answers. Can't speak for the rest of the tour, though.

Ryan Adams with The Infamous Stringdusters and special guest Nicki Bluhm

Red Rocks, June 20.

So, are the 'Dusters the opener, or his band?

Yes, and the proximity of this date to TBF might imply another appearance in Telluride. Still is a little unclear if its Ryan with his band, with ISD opning, or Ryan with Dusters as his back-up band.

Ryan with the Stringdusters and Nicki at the Cap last July was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

>>The Berkeley Greek is a big venue for him

the auditorium in FTL he plays in 2 weeks holds 1050 people.
