thanks so much for posting.

a little cluttered but so joyful. It's wonderful folks can still experience the old generation and the new guys playing together in such an unpretentious way in a beautiful setting.

last weekend SG was nearby for two days playing with our local guitar guy

It was a great night t the UC theater!

Woz, wish I had connected with you.  No one in my group wanted to go so it was straight to Bart.   luckily the Greek was on fire and that was enough to keep me happy all the way home.

wait let me get this straight Billy showed up at a Peter Rowan show , after his gig .. dude is so cool

Well, the Sam Grisman show with Peter Rowan didn't start until the Strings show was over, and it was happening about five minutes away from the Greek.

Billy Strings is young, loves to play and is clearly enjoying his huge popularity so it's not surprising that he showed up at the aftershow, but it is still very cool that he did.

We'll see if he's still doing that 10 - 20 years from now. Or I should say you younger folks will see what's up in the future.

Either way, it's great to see young bucks like Billy Strings aware of and carrying on the glory of the live event.

GTTS!

A former zoner went Sunday to his first show and noted he would never miss another Billy Strings show again.

Saturday might have been my favorite show I have been to.  Good energy in that place, sound was amazing.

We brought a friend to the Greek who'd never seen Billy before too, he was kinda just tagging along for the fun of hanging out and left the show a serious fan.

It's obvious Billy enjoys sitting in with other bands and also having musicians (some famous, others not famous yet) sit in with him. He's riding his current wave to lift others up now. He's expressed deep gratitude to everyone who helped him achieve arena status as well as a desire to share the ride with his contemporaries and up and coming performers. Honestly idgaf if he's a grumpy old fart in twenty years from now.
